  We had a very nice time in this hotel. The room was comfortable. Very nice decoration and praktical. The hotel is in the middle of the old city along the fontanka river. Most cultural high lights you can reach walking. The people working in the hotel do not all speak good english, and some do speak good english.   I guess it's a former "nobility" appartment now rearranged as a hostel, one can see decorations on the ceiling etc. The room was really spacious, the place is very quiet, cosy and well decorated, did not expect that of a hostel :).There is only one bathroom, but this was no problem.
