  Actually this hotel is not as brash and corny as we expected. Yes its a hotel made to seem like a counts mansion, and yes it has real bear skins, stuffed animals, towers and ramparts, but it is more tastefully decorated than we expected. Its fun, its luxurious and it is certainly value for money.   Excelent hotel; 5 min drive to city center. The hotel has great rooms, i had a TERRACE about 15square meters, the hotel restaurant delicious. Cozy rooms with big screen tv LCD.   Everything. The 6 people apartment is amazing. Some people might see my next comment as a negative but in my opinion it's a big plus : you can tell the history of the building by it's design: Huge bedroom and smaller living room, the ceiling is very very high and the walls have a unique flaw in them as they are not exactly what you would call str... 别人怎么说 » aight.   This would be the best apartment I have stayed in. It had everything you could want and the lady was so nice and so helpful. They also serve breakfast in your apartment if you wish for a extra charge. The breakfast was always so nice and it was easy to tell that the people take pride in there apartments' and guests.   If you are used with fancy hotels with a lot of extra services, I would not recommend this place. But if you look for a nice place with real nice owners, a uniquely designed room with a wonderful night view looking at the historic center of the city, do not hesitate to try. Even the famous city cemetery is nearby. Parking is also not - Everything. The owner of Transilvania Cowboy Cottage was one of the nicest people I've met, and the family is very friendly and welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The room, I must say,being spacious and outright comfy is an absolute antique masterpiece. I would definitely recommend staying there for anyone visiting Cluj Napoca.

  Nice people in reception -everyone speaks english. The room was clean and elegant. We have fridge in room - it was really usefull. Breakfast was really delicious with many food to choose. - Large, clean room, great bed, smoking area. Great for a short stop. Good breakfast.   When I saw the 9.6 points on the website. I had thought it was an exaggerated situation for an apartment. However, when I met dear landlady and stepped in the place, I stood frozen for some minutes, as I was in a luxury blended with history in an excellent location of a very nice town (university square). You will understand the reason of this 10 points! - Everything about the apartment was fantastic, as others have said. I chose it based on the recommendations here. The rooms are huge with wonderful high ceilings creating a very airy feel. The kitchen while small is well equipped and enabled me to prepare a very substantial Mexican meal for my Grandmother and Aunt who live in Cluj. They loved it as well. It is right on the central square where bars, cafes, restaurants and clubs abound. It is a perfect city break spot.
