The owners/operators were very welcoming, had great knowledge of the area and just a general "friendly vibe". I was fortunate enough to be there on a very warm, late Autumn day and bared witness to the wonderful Alpine views and surrounding pacific ocean. The facilities were clean, tidy and super comfortable. All in all a magical spot, would highly recommended, especially for a romantic getaway. Which is why I will be booking again but this time with my Girlfriend. Very happy :) A+.
所有评语 » We enjoyed the owners. They came to the gate to meet us and gave us all the info about their property that we needed. It was well positioned for views over the ocean and (if it had not been foggy)we would have seen the "First Light". The sky at night was amazing and we were very pleased to hear the residents chose not to have street lights as that would pollute the skyviews at night. The owners heard we missed out on a crayfish lunch because the seaside caravan was closed due to gale force winds so Murray provided us with a freshly caught complimentary crayfish that made our day our heartfelt thank you. We liked the mountain views from second upstairs unit and found it a nice quiet place. My father found the first room with ensuite suitable for him. We really appreciated the quiet location of the residence, adjacent to a natural reserve; and the lovely, modern, clean and comfortable apartment, very private, and luxuriously appointed. Every comfort was provided. The host was very kind and all went smoothly. He took us on a New Zealand bird-watching bush walk, which we loved. Loved the setting in which this accommodation was situated. On one side was the view of the beautiful mountains and on the other side was the vast ocean views. The accommodation was more than exceptional as far as value for money goes. We would definitely have no problems of staying there again. Kaikoura has lots to offer. We had a warm welcome from Murray, who settled us in and gave us some fresh crayfish to try. Murray and Tracy made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was a quiet, luxurious home from home, with cooking facilities, washing machine available etc. We didn't want to leave!. Absolutely gorgeous could not fault the owners or the unit. Beautiful decor, everything provided and generally a wonderful experience and will certainly return without doubt. The owners Tracey and Murray delightful people, caring and friendly. Best experience yet on our trip. Het was een super mooie en keurig vezorgde accommodatie, rustig gelegen met uitzicht over zee. vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer. De gastheer is piloot waarmee je een vlucht kunt maken tegen betaling om walvissen te spotten Vrij gebruik van wasmachine, droger, BBQ en WIFI. It is a lovely place. The location is excellent. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They even gave us a half crayfish that they caught that day. It is like having your own little apartment. All the facilities are modern and very tastefully decorated. Murray (the host) was lovely. The apartment was spotless, new and comfy and we loved the use of the garden, bbq etc. Beautiful view and only takes 5 mins the car to get to the whale watching place. Also had a lovely little veggie garden :-). The couple that rent the place were so hospitable. We sat and chatted like they were friends. We said if we were passing back through,, would book with them again and definitely recommend tham. Excellent a 10 isnt good enough. There was absolutely nothing not to like. Murray and Tracy were v. friendly and generous, room was modern, warm and v. comfortable, had a great view of the mountains, bout 15-20min walk down to restaurant/pub, close to peninsula walk and seals, quiet. The owners could not have been more helpful. The views from the room were spectacular. Murray, the owner , is a pilot and runs whale watching trips above this wonderful coastline. Highly recommended. the owner is friendly and welcoming.the layout of the place is good with the bedroom away from the lounge/dineing.with fishing trips on the doorsteep as well has got to be a plus(will ues next time). The staff were lovely and the place was also so lovely! me and my partner had such a great time and would 100% go back and stay there and would reccommend to other people wanting to stay in Kaikoura. There are stairs to go up to the bedroom. We did not mind, but I can see that some people might have a problem with stairs. The couch wasn't very comfortable, but this is a very small complaint in the scheme of things. Nothing. we were cycling so was a long walk/cycle to town centre but the pro's definitely outweighed this. No complaints. dont like saying things you dont like when most of the experience was grate.old teabag in teapot was my only neg about the place and the mirror wasnt that cleen. An extractor fan in the mountain view room would be good. Mentioned this to Murray. Nothing to complain, it was perfect. Bed was a little too hard for my liking. Everything was great....... Nothing. No. Couldn't fill kettle easily - had to fill teapot and pour into jug as jug too big to fit under tap - otherwise no complaints!. Nothing. There were no negatives. Nothing. Nothing. Bit far at night for walking distance from town if drinking and not wanting to drive. The rain!! And no whales!!. not a thing. No table in the room at which to eat. WiFi not working. Lighting out to the room not great. No!.
