  I stayed in this hotel with my wife. We arrived sooner than planned in Amsterdam and had to leave our baggage in the hotel before the check-in time, but that was absolutely no problem. The room is perfect, clean and spacious, with a great view to the river and equipped with a nice shower, toilet and kitchen. For breakfast, we were left all the necessary ingredie - Excellent stay. We chose this as it is something different and more fun than an ordinary hotel and it was fabulous. Centrally located (10 mins walk from Centraal) but quiet. The standard of accommodation was excellent. Lovely to sit in the wheel house with a drink in hand looking out over the water. Very friendly and helpful host. Would definitely stay here again.

  I certainly recommend this place as an excellent base for exploring the city of Amsterdam, whilst being able to retreat to a nice peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. I emailed Rene before our trip and he gave us some excellent advice regarding transport to the boat and how to get about during our stay.   We loved everything! Except the stairs. Our room was up 5 floors of steep stairs but if you can get over that... The rest was awesome!   There was not one thing I did not like about my stay at the 'Hotel Het OudeRaadhuis', it was beyond all my expectations and one of the top highlights of my vacation. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Castricum and surrounding area. I loved it. - We used the bicycles to go to the beach, good service! Lovely hotel, very good breakfast.

  Wonderful hosts Sandra and Jan, really friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and pretty, and we had a great coffee machine in the room. They even gave us a bottle of wine on arrival. The area of Bergen is absolutely beautiful, and the shops and restaurants are within very easy walking distance.   A very nice place to stay with friendly and especially helpful staff. Breakfast is good, the place is spotless, and it is to very close to the sights, and the train station. Since it is a docked boat it is also very quiet. Don't forget it is a boat cabin what you will get.   We had a great time at the houseboat. The house is well appointed, the owners are great, and the location is the best. We would often sit out on the deck in the evening with a bottle of wine and watch the locals go putting by in their canal boats. We felt like residents. All you have to do is draw back the curtains or sit on the deck and you can - We were delighted with our stay in the blue houseboat . The location was perfect for what we wanted to do , ie see the Anne Frank house , the Van Gogh exhibition at the hermitage , the Rijks museum , eating out and wandering the shops of the nine street and Jordaan areas . The houseboat itself was very cosy and spotless , just like sn apartement , with all we could need for our stay. Guy was most welcoming and helpful . It was a lovely way to see Amsterdam .

  Everything was very good. Comfortable rooms, clean and cosy hotel, really not far from railway station.
