  The staff was wonderful. Our refridgerator had a problem but they came within minutes to correct. We blew a fuse at 5 in the morning and again there in minutes to fix. Access to the hotel facilities was great too. But the staff is fantastic. There to help you and so friendly. Loved it. - Location and luxury

  The location of the hotel was really close to all the hotspots within Amsterdam! The breakfast was simple but it was great for the money and it filled you up and got you going for the rest of the day. The toilets and shower were clean the majority of the time minus a few when it had just been used! And the beds were very comfy. In my opinion for the money it was a great place to stay when visiting Amsterdam! - Staff were always friendly and happy to help with anything. Wifi was available in the room and the breakfast was always good. The room and all the toilets and showers were extremely clean. I was a little worried about shared showers but caused no issues at all. This couldn't be better located, 5 mins from central station, shop right outside, restaurants close by and bike rentals available right outside. 10 out of 10

  I thought Hotel Ajax was a fantastic place to stay, Always had clean towels and sheets + toilet was cleaned regular within the 5 days i stayed here. Staff were extremely friendly......   The location was close to everything in Centruum with a major tram stop minutes away. The guest service agents and restaurant staff were friendly. Very interesting European hotel with a lot of character. Room and bed were comfortable with excellent housekeeping services every day. We will definitely choose The Avenue hotel again for any future trips to Amsterdam.

They even tracked us down by phone to tell us that a museum we thought closed at 9 was to close at 7. The decor of the hotel is great and although like all canal side town houses the rooms are small, they were well laid out and of a high quality. Our room was pretty small, but to be expected from a city centre hotel, especially in Amsterdam, however it was immaculately presented, beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable we nearly didn't make it up in the morning. The staff were wonderful, and we will be going back.
