I was excited to stay here based on the pictures and reviews, and drijfpaleis completely exceeded my expectations from the moment it came into sight. I stayed in the honeymoon suite on the main floor of the houseboat, which was grand, but I also got to tour the other rooms upstairs. All rooms are huge with large bathrooms, clean, fun, uplifting decor, plenty of coffee, very reasonable pay bar with a variety of choices, tv and computer with internet in each room, great breakfast, comfortable bed.
所有评语 » Eclectic! Not your normal experience. Though we are "mature travelers" the ladder to the 2nd floor accommodations was navigable, just take care. Very nice breakfast personally delivered. Coffee and tea available 24 hours, gratis. Nice view of the river and with the deck, you can relax with a glass of wine or soft drink. Free parking on the esplanade. What an amazing place to stay on holiday. The hotel building is actually floating on the river. Inside the hotel is hand-painted artistry beautiful decoration. The owner was very helpful and kind. The vegetarian breakfast was great quality and generous amount. And it was also convenient room service. I recommend anybody to stay this hotel in Arnhem. The stay on this Houseboat was fantastic. We were in the Venetion room where you could lie in bed and watch the boats go up and down the Rhine. We had our own balcony with table and chairs and the Breakfast served in the bedroom was delicious. It was an experience not ot miss and I would love to stay there again. Next time we visit the Netherlands we'll stay here instead of Amsterdam - loved this place! Our room was comfy with beautiful murals on the walls, we had the peace and quiet of the river, and the town centre was just a short walk away. Special thanks to our friendly host Ruud, and of course his friendly cats!. The whole ambience is just right. The owner Ruud has created a superb, quirky,unique and fun place to stay. We are really glad to have discovered the Drijfpaleis and will be back! Lovely breakfast delivered to your room was a nice touch too. Also a superb location for access to Arnhem town. The "Venezia" room was very comfortable for our too short stay, well equipped, beautifully designed with attention to details. Free coffee, and excellent breakfast. Good internet in room. Wonderfull place. The atmosphere was really peacefull, all those details concerning the decoration... perfect. The breakfast was lovely and Ruud was a great host. A magic and one of a kind place for sure. This is a unique venue and for us a wonderful find. The rooms are very romantic and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the river was beautifully presented. If you are in Arnhem and in love, stay here!. Very 'Off the wall' and a unique experience. The owner is one laid back chap. Would stay again. Free Wi-Fi and laptop in the room. Free coffee/tea, snacks available. We loved everything about the place. Were supposed to stay one night but extended to 2 nights because we couldn't bring ourselves to leave the haven of the boat. The honeymoon suit is just perfectttttttttttttt~~~~Too romantic to be true~~~I just wanted to lay on the dreamy bed and watch the River Nederrijn all the day!!. The location was beautiful and quiet. Interesting seeing the Rhine barges passing by. Rudd is a great host, view of the river is excellent and breakfast on the terrace is first class. Rudd, the owner, makes the stay at this most unique hotel a wonderful experience. Don't miss it. One of the best and original hotels ever! Nothing. Nothing! it is what it is. The breakfast is kind of late for business travelers. Nothing. Nothing. n/a. Nothing. Nothing. hoisting luggage up the circular staircase was a bit of a challenge but doable. Only one thing - the stairs. need to be careful with the stairs. Nothing really. Not advisable for someone with mobility problems. No sign of staff to provide breakfast by 8a.m.
