Featuring stylish rooms and moorings for recreation boats, Room Mate Aitana is a design hotel built in 2013 located on the new artificial island in the IJ River in Amsterdam. All rooms feature flat-screen satellite TV, a minibar, and a safety deposit box. The large windows enable views of Amsterdam. The bathroom is fitted with a hairdryer and shower or bath tub. Complimentary toiletries are provided. Guests can enjoy the breakfast buffet until 12:00, while breakfast in the room can also be arranged. There is lounge bar and a restaurant decorated in cosmopolitan style. Room Mate Aitana includes a business area and a fitness centre. At the hotel’s concierge desk services such as babysitting, concierge, bicycle and car rental can be organised. Amsterdam Central Station is 800 metres from the property and the Dam Square is within 1.7 km. The RAI Convention centre is a 15-minute car drive.

The hotel is brand new and was still being finished. The staff is young and friendly and were doing there best as all the kinks had not been striaghtened out, it opened a few days before we checked in. Once everything is finished a 100% I'm positive this will be a great hotel. The service was outstanding and the staff sure had a lot of patience as a were also all learning. It is directly behind central station and next to the cruise port also its a 15 minute walk to the red light district.
所有评语 » This hotel was the best we stayed at in Europe. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was huge for Europe standards and because it is brand new, the facilities are to a very high standard, particularly given the price range. The rooms are soundproof and warm, and the bathrooms are really large. We stayed in a standard room and would definitely stay there if we visited Amsterdam again. Good location, walking distance to Central Station and Jordaan's cafes, coffeeshops and restaurants. Jordaan is a good area to be based and this hotel provides much bigger rooms and value for money than most of the canal hotels. Staff were very helpful and were eager to make a good impression. The bed was extremely comfortable. All round good buzz. Room Mate Aitana is a warm hotel, with many details. The hospitality about all the team. The rooms are incredible,I emphasize the comfortable and spacious bed, the best of the room... the shower. A wonderful decoration, highlighting the careful lighting of every space. Brand new hotel in great location, close to Central Station, metro and old town. The staff is great, very friendly, enthusiastic and ready to help. Room was comfortable, very airy with good aircon. Tea / coffee facilities in the room. Toiletries spot on. Very generous breakfast. Longue bar offers good choice of drinks. It was very close to central station which is perfect spot to move to any place via trains and for me it was very usefull in the way back to the airport when I left. So I love it's location the most being close to station as well close to Dam square 10min walking. Room wifi also was very useful. The hotel is really great, not far from the Central Station(only 5 minutes walk). Spacy rooms with a kettle, iron and fan, and also without any noise from outside. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The taxi drivers didn't know where IJ Dock was, or the hotel, so it was easier to walk back from central station once we had our bearings. The staff made a few small mistakes which were probably due to the fact that the hotel had just opened. Price of parking facility, but that's Amsterdam!. Room view wasn't as presented on the website. Instead of Amsterdam panorama, a tall building obscuring the view. There is no restaurant in the hotel (yet), so be aware, although the staff was keen to order the food. Breakfast not included in room rate, even so it's not cheap prices, almost close to Hilton prices that include breakfast Breakfast as well has limited varaites of food choices. The price of the breakfast is a little bit high, but I didn't have breakfast at the hotel that's why I can't write anything about its quality. The wifi was too slow for my liking and there were no tissues in the rooms. Apart from that, my stay was fantastic. A minor bad thing - hotel is still in process of finishing, so no restaurant and sometimes you can hear slight drilling in the mornings. There were some minor building works continuing on the dockside, which will in a short time improve the area layout. they dont have swimming pool, Spa and Suna, the restaurant is not working for lunch and dinner , hotel price is high. Parking in Amsterdam is expensive. It is defenitely not 4 stars hotel! Good 3 - maybe. All is very new, but not of a very high quality. Breakfast - really cheap, with filter cofffee and cheap bread. Breakfast not included with room. I asked for fresh milk the first night for my tea as I do not like UHT milk, but reception staff did not or could not understand what I was asking for so didn't get any milk. There isn't any store, cafe or restaurant nearby. The location of the hotel is a good walk from the city centre and the museums. The hotel currently has very limited eating options... Disturbed in the room often in the mornings even with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. At 7pm one day someone walked in the room, left when discovered we were there. It was very confusing and unsettling. 7 min walk from the station area to start each day, would have been nice to have a shuttle especially at the end if the day. No food in hotel except breakfast. Being new, I think it is still trying pull things together but that's not a complaint!. the carpet in the room, for the floor I prefer parket or stone. No room service facility. No restaurant ; better signposting off road needed. A/C can't be switched off in any room, new hotel - still some technical difficulties. building works still underway on the hotel... so noisy in the mornings... so new cab drivers can not find it!. The receptionist works very slowly, because we were with 10 people, it took her ages to finish the paperwork! We came as what we did the booking, it still took so long. The same when we paid, all he needed is to print the total bill and got the money, but it took him very long as well. If it is faster, it would be much better. The breakfast is not worth the money we paid for. very noisy but to be fair still lots of construction in the area no resturant breakfast cheap, I mean cheap. Room decoration is a bit dry. It was a big room but no small decorations to make us feel like home Kettle didnt work. Ground floor still under construction (November 2013). We were guests just after opening, the 8th day and of course small routines had to be improved. lack of tea, coffee and milk in the room. There were no restaurants, but then again the breakfast served was excellent!. the staff is kind, but has no routine yet and is a bit confused. Lack of basis amenities, tissue in the room, cotton buds, etc. Fitness center is good but needs a mirror added. Unfortunately the restaurant not serving neither muslim Halal food nor vegetarian food!!. Hotel wasn't completely finished, but we knew that and got very good rates for it. Tried to charge me for item from mini bar that I didn't have! Breakfast not great. Can't get a decent hot cup of tea. Breakfast too expensive at €12. Charged me for borrowing a plug adapter!. Car park expense, booked through Booked.com who's website advises €25 to park for day but it cost €50 for stay.
