Everytghing about this hotel was brilliant
I liked the vicinity of Central Station and Red Light district. Low level of noise due to isolated position on Rembrandt square. I liked the staff, clean room, and especially good value for money.

I was overwhelmed by the value and comfort of this hotel. Rooms are extremely clean and well equipped, as are the bathrooms, breakfast is great and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back. Smokeys club did not disturb us, contrary to other reviews.
Location ! great breakfast included in the price, superb connectivity both by public transport as well as walking to every place in town. The manager was a great help in co-ordinating the recovery of my friend's lost wallet ( which he lost in Den Haag), by duly receiving phone calls and communicating the messages to us, as well as helping us with making the necessary phone calls.
The mattresses were a bit too soft and springy, almost making you sink, and it was difficult getting in and out of the bed. Firm mattresses would have been ideal
Friendly staff, middle of everything, tram was pretty much right in front of hotel. and there was also a bar-coffeeshop underneath us
windy stairs and no elevator... became very loud til 4 am because of the bar downstairs, but was still able to fall asleep, just bring earplugs.
Coffee and tea in the room together with teapot was really nice. I also enjoyed fresh orange juice at the breakfast. And the location is just the best if you wanna see Amsterdam! Right in the center!

very clean, larger room than I have expected, very good brakefast, super location, confortable and friendly, staff very helpfull, you could also leave your luggage in safe condition if you leave town in the evening as we did; unbelivable: although it was mid august, because one night rained and was a little chill, they turned on their heating facilities so we could continue our peacefull sleep

No elevator
Cleanliness of the room, the location, the view on the Rembrandt Square. Good breakfast ( in club next door ). Tea/Coffee at the room.
With the window a bit open ( for some fresh air ) you have to get used to some noise from the square ( in the evening and all city life ( cleaners ) in the morning ).
The hotel was very clean and tidy and the breakfast was very nice andserved until 12noon which was great considering I was on a stag do.
Only the fact the shower rooms were not en suite. However the showerswere only just outside every room and were cleaned regularly and I neverhad to queue for them.
The location of this hotel is fantastic, if possible i would defiitely ask for a room on the front overlooking the square because the square was always lively and buzzing.
The breakfast that was included was rather poor, but id stop at the hotel again without any hesitation.

10 mins from central station on trams 4 and 9, trams stops opposite hotel. good area for night life and also within walking distance to shopping areas. english speaking helpful staff- 2 were australian. 2 shared bathrooms between 5 rooms- clean. room was cleaned daily and in very good condition. tea/coffee making facilities. sink in room. 24 hour reception. we paid cash on arrival.
our window was old and would not stay open, so the room was very very hot and this made it hard to sleep. we were told at reception that there should have been something in the room to hold the window open but the staff never supplied us with this. we had to find something to kept the window open with ourselves. request that the window in your room opens properly. this was the only fault we found.
Buffet breakfast included was quite good. Great location. Hotel staff were cheerful, friendly and very helpful. Bathrooms were very clean. tea and coffee making facilities in room was good (except for the plastic cups). Would have liked breafast to start earlier than 9am so that you could enjoy breakfast before day tours etc....(most tours start at 9am).
Was extreamly hot in the rooms. No air con....? Couldn't open the window properly either.....Would have preferred proper mugs to drink tea and coffee out of in the rooms.
It is a great location -right across from a tram stop. The breakfast was delicious, including the fresh fruit salad. We enjoyed our stay.

Fact that hotel is situated in the center of the city is great. Easily accessible and very close to most popular tourist destinations and Centraal Station. Value for money is excellent.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable and a great value. I would stay there again many times if I return to Amsterdam.
The hotel is situated in a great area with easy access to shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly, the rooms and facilities were nice and clean and we couldn't hear any outside noise from our room as other feedback on this site has suggested.

Location, location, location! Even though showers and toilets are small shared facilities, they were very nice and clean.
