  I recently stayed at the Manhattan Hotel, Chisinau. This is a 4* hotel situated near the very centre of the city. Therefore, it is close to and has excellent access to all the local amenities and several of the ‘better’ attractions Chisinau has to offer. The hotel is modern by design, bright and airy. All the usual refinements are present, Flat-screens, air conditioning, Wi-Fi etc. The restaurant provides good food and choice thereof - Accomodation: I stayed in a spacious room on the second floor, with huge windows overlooking the street. Very clean, and neat. Minor issues with wifi, at very specific times of the day, we're hardly noticeable. Food: I had dinner only once at the restaurant, right after my late arrival (thank you front desk for the arrangements!) and the quality and quantity was excellent.   This was my second visit to Hotel Olsi, which has become my favoured place to stay in Chisinau. The staff are very helpful - Elena on reception who remembered me from my previous visit over a year before, and also the young lady who checked me in.   Well 'soviet chic' is a good way of putting this place! It seems very basic but its nonetheless a nice place to stay and value for money. It seemed very empty and in needs a bit of tlc, but the wifi worked and the staff were friendly. When Chisinau becomes holiday destination this placed has Ibis written all over it... The Central bus station is also a short walk - The location was perfect, and so was the staff. I will use this hotel the next time I come to Kishinau. It is 10 minute walk to train station, there are 2 brand new shopping malls outside the front door of hotel, which is in the best spot in town, the start of "Stephan the great street." Is is north of Botanica district, south of citu\y center, all in walking distance. Hotel had everything, including a very helpful staff.

  We booked a suite which was great value for money. This is probably one of Chisinau's best hotels, yet expect a good dose of retro Soviet feeling in the corridors. Having said that, our suite was spacious and comfortable and even included a private banta/sauna. Wine and drinks from the mini bar was dirt cheap.
