A beautifully remodeled "machiya" townhouse that was once home to a geisha, Iori Kyoto Townhouse Nishirokkaku-cho has a large garden which can be viewed from the spacious tatami room on the first floor, and a smaller rock garden which can be viewed while relaxing in the bath. It includes a living room with deep, comfortable couches and a deck overlooking the Kamo River. Karasuma Train Station is a 10-minute walk away.
Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding on tatami (woven-straw) floors. The townhouse features air conditioning facilities and an en suite bathroom with a Japanese-style tub. The kitchen includes a fridge, electric kettle and a microwave. Kitchenware and a coffee maker with organic coffee are included as well.
Bicycle rental and luggage storage are available at the property, as well as English-speaking concierge services.
