Travelling to Europe so many times, this hotel is one of the best that i ever stay, and by far the most memorable. Renovated from an very old palace, which a history at least 400 years, the hotel so well designed that the material, the detail and the style is a excellent modern expression of the traditional local style. It is not only a hotel but a place ,a home built by heart. Massimo, the manger told me it took him and his father years and years to finish the work. Check out the dinning room.
所有评语 » After three days in Rome, the crowds started to grate on our nerves, so we made like the wealthy Romans of ancient times and got the heck out in order to get some fresh air. We took the subway to Ponte Mammolo, and a ~50 min bus ride from there to Tivoli. Heading to Tivoli, and Catillo in particular, had to be one of the best decisions we made during our trip to Italy. The private rooms within the very old house had just undergone years of remodeling in a modern and exceptionally well-designed . The Catillo was all that we could have wished for. The purpose of our visit was to celebrate our wedding anniversary by visiting the Tivoli gardens. Catillo is in easy walking distance from both Villa D'Este and Villa Gregoriana, close to convenient parking and the many restaurants, cafes and shops in the historic centre. The design of the interior of the B&B is bright and modern in style while sympathetically retaining the period features of the beautifully restored original palazzo. The . The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with directions, maps, and restaurant recommendations. Nice breakfast which fit the description and also included a small selection of fresh whole and cut fruit. Quiet location, powerful floor fan in the room for summer. The building and room we stayed in have clearly been renovated and modernized recently, while still maintaining an old feel. There are back and front entrances, allowing you to exit easily to street/lot parking or to the old part o. If you wish to visit the Villa d'Este and the Villa Adriano then this a perfect location being close to centre of the town of Tivoli and only six kilometres from Hadrian's palace.Massimo the owner and his colleague Marco could not be more friendly and helpful-booking tables at local restaurants and really going out of their way to assist and make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.The hotel has recently been refurbished and is surprisingly modern and quite chic despite being situ. This little place is a goldmine. The owners are very hands on and extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is immaculate and absolutely beautiful. It is a very old building that has been beautifully restored. Travertine marble on the floors and walls. The location is great- right in the heart of Tivoli. Breakfast was excellent. The cost was unbelievably low given what they offer. A place like this would be around 3-4 times as much in Rome. Staff at Catillo were very helpful, providing local knowledge, eating out tips, transport, even providing a lucky car park space for us! Massimo has done a great job renovating the property with class and comfort and Marco went out of his way to help at the front desk, even replacing a lost access card at 10:30pm without fuss. A good full breakfast every morning topped it off. Tivoli has some great things to see and do within the old town!. The B&B has been totally renovated with high quality materials,and beautiful design. The staff was exceptional. We arrived late out of Rome and were unable to find the hotel in the dark. When we called they came and got us. Provided excellent advise on restaurants, sites. Helped us to locate our lost bag from the airlines. parked right outside the hotel. I just can't say enough about the staff and their extraordinary efforts. Everything! A warm welcome when we arrived and help throughout our stay. Tastefully refurbished hotel in the old quarter of the town. Great attention had been paid to 'getting it right' and we know from talking to Marco that the renovation took almost five years. It was obviously a labour of love! The hotel was near to the sights of and around Tivoli. Such a contrast to Rome and a lovely way to end our week in Italy. Staff are fantastic, cordial, smiling and go extra lengths to help and to please. Very clean and well kept. Location is great, short walk (up stairs) from a big parking area and you can drive by the front entrance to drop your luggage if you don't want to do the steps. Right in the heart of Tivoli, so you won't be needing the car while you're there.Room size amazing. Breakfast made while you wait - Italian style. I have been traveling quite a lot in the last couple years and I think this B&B was the best I have stayed, not sure why it is even called B&B as it was a lot better then some 4* hotels I have stayed before. Very frendly staff , spacious room, comftable bed, breathtaking wiev through the window,extremely clean, close to town centre and villas. Breakfast served with a lot of effort to look the most tasty. Owner is extremely helpful and friendly. Gives good advise on restaurants (with discounts to a few great restaurants!), parking situation and facilities around the B&B. I needed early breakfast everyday and they were very helpful to accomodate. Breakfast is basic (continental) with tea selection which is great. Overall very pleasant stay with extremely friendly staff. We stayed here for one night and were glad we did! The place is beautifully designed and very clean. The bed is very comfortable. Massimo and Marco were wonderful hosts, very warm and welcoming. Marco was extremely helpful, guiding us over the phone to the B&B, and recommending us a fantastic restaurant for dinner. We will definitely stay here again. From the minute we walked into Catillo both Marco and Massimo were the most helpful and friendly hosts one could ask for. Nothing was to much trouble at all and always with a smile. The room was very roomy and comfortable. If we could give them a thirteen out of ten we would. The room was fantastic, the breakfast delicious, but what made this place so wonderful was the staff. Everyone was kind, helpful and knowledgeable - especially the owner, Massimo. His attentiveness makes it the kind of place I'd recommend to everyone coming to Tivoli. It's close to city center, villa d'Este and villa Gregoriana and in 15 min from railway station by foot. Massimo who manages the hotel are very hospitable. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast are served and it's really tasty, with genuine coffee. Very well designed place in an old building. Good location, easy to walk to Villa D'Este, Villa Gregoriana and bus station to Hadrian's Villa. The owner (and the designer too) there are very helpful, check the travel information for me patiently. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the place is spotless. You feel very welcome at this hotel; one of the staff even helped me buy some gifts and bought me a coffee. It was so generous. This hotel is also conveniently located. The photos on the website do not do this place justice. The rooms are not only lovely, but are very big and comfortable. The staff was more than willing to help with any issue that you may have, and I enjoyed my stay there immensely. An excellent place, such a friendly team a haven't seen for a very long time! we spent there 2 night and enjoyed every moment .. room is big and wonderful.. same level as any 4 stars hotel except mini bar that was a bit missing... This hotel is a hidden gem. The care of the owner and his brother-in-law is superb. The hotel modernisation is really clever: chi chi in style but perfectly sympathetic to ancient surroundings. A beautifully renovated building, with kind and accommodating staff. The beds were very comfortable and the the location was very good for accessing Tivoli's historic centre by foot. Owners and staff were very helpful and very friendly, high quality decor and fittings, comfy bed, split level room was a hit with our son, nice breakfast and a great location. Staff could not be more helpful or friendly. We had only a night there but really would have wanted to stay longer. Breakfast perfect and rooms lovely and well decorated. Excellent, will return again. This is nothing at all to do with Catillo but we found the city of Tivoli would benefit from a bit of a face lift and clean up operation. nothing. The buffet breakfast is served, which is a bit annoying as you always have to ask for something but there is nothing missing. Bit frustrating having to ask for another coffee. No air conditioning, but only during the heat waves.....fans were provided in the rooms. walls are a bit thin, and you could heard your neighbour chatting in the room. It's a bit confusing to find, and parking is annoying - but neither of these change my opinion that this is a fantastic place to stay. Breakfast very poor, no veriety, no coffee (only american) ... No negatives. Parking is tricky (but the staff are very understanding and helpful about this). Could maybe do with a fan in the room but fine with the window open. Parking not available outside hotel for most, but staff really tried to help and we were able to park outside, but were the only ones. The only downside was trying to find Catillo by using gps. If you use an iPhone, as we did, you will be sent down the impossible labrynth of skinny Italian roads, when really, the entrance is on a main road and very obviously marked. Call Max about an hour before you arrive and he will give you proper directions if you are using a gps to find Catillo. nothing. A slight disadvantage having a bathroom across the corridor, albeit for our use only. Nothing. Parking is a bit of a walk and not free, but reasonable. Nothing bad, though breakfast could have been better. No private parking. very hard to find. No private parking. Parking in the street opposite is a little challenging, although the owner very kindly helped park our car. But there is a good long-term carpark a short walk away. Couldn't figure out how to use the elevator - Ask for instructions!. No parking but city location and staff recommended a very cheap car park, Can be noisy location with train station announcements and dogs barking most of the night. No fridge in room. Could have done with a couple of chairs on balcony.
