We had an unexpected opportunity to visit Lake Garda with just a little notice. We didn't have time to learn about every town so we decided to do something creative and pick where to stay based on the hotel. We chose the place with the best guest ratings we could find. That hotel was the Aromi Piccolo... and so we found ourselves in Saló. The reviews were EXACTLY right. It's a very close- knit group that run and/ or own the hotel. The hotel was on the major route through town so was easily accessible however it was not noisy. The hotel provided secure car parking in a parking garage directly across from the hotel at €8 per day. The hotel was extremely modern. The room was bright and fresh with lots of space. The bathroom was modern and well laid out. The whole place was very well designed and appeared very fresh and new.
the staff were so friendly. The hotel was so clean, comfortable, modern with nice little touches (a night light that you can remove from the wall). Fantastic value for money and only 5 mins from the lake and the centre. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of choice and lots of amazing home made jams and pasteries. Family friendly. Can't say enough positive things about it.
almost a boutique style room. Over the rooftops lake view. 3 minutes walk from the lakeside restaurants and bars. Lovely shopping street. Very welcoming family run hotel but not over the top intrusive. We enjoyed the relaxing ambience of Salo in early may, expect it's a lot busier in the summer. Breakfast good but loads of cake as is usual in Italy!.
This Hotel is a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed especially the great breakfast (homemade cakes and jam every day) and the short distance to the lake. Our room was big and comfortable. The Family owning the Hotel is always very friendly and helpful. It really is great value for money.

Everything, this hotel is a real little gem of place, great find. Very close to the Lakeside of Garda with its many good restaurants and bars. Very secure car parking and very easy to find. Highly recommended hotel.

Salo was a beautiful location, flights from the UK are just 1.5hrs to Verona & the hotel is a very pleasant 40 min drive from airport. Loved it!.
a really beautiful hotel in Salo.. in the centre of London it would cost you £200 a night. very helpful staff, terrific secured parking if you book ahead, lovely breakfast and a great location.

There was a bit of sound transfer from the corridor so you heard everybody as they came and went. However it was not so bad as to be completely off putting. The hotel was lovely.
Busy road out front. Didn't disturb sleep but sitting on the balcony watching cars...not the romantic view!.

Access via sat nav. You should drive into the town center, ignore the sat nav until then. The hotel is on the side of the main street, the sat nav took me down a side street millimeters wider than my Ford Focus for no good reason!.
