Set between Repubblica and Castro Pretorio Metro stations in central Rome, Freedom Traveller offers budget accommodation in rooms or dormitories. It includes free Wi-Fi and a simple sweet breakfast. Both dormitories and rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV and functional furnishings. All rooms are fitted with tiled floors and come with either private or shared bathrooms. The location is really good and also safe with 3 layers of doors and a 24hr reception. It’s my first time live in a youth hotel and the services they provided made me feel like home, especially the map, luggage service and the smile of Barbara. I lived in a dormitory room for girls, the facilities are better than expected, no problem with the hot water. Credit card is acceptable for room payments, but city tax and key assurance money(return when check out) have to pay by cash. The breakfast pro.
所有评语 » The staff were so helpful. We had one day to see Rome so the lady on reception gave us a map and drew out where to go. She also gave us tips on where to eat and how to get to the airport. We booked a private room for three so had to walk about 300m from the freedom traveller - which was no bother because we were upgraded to an ensuite. Only about a 15 minute walk from the colosseum. The staff was really friendly. They showed some of the best affordable restaurants on the map and one of them took us out clubbing several nights! The common room had a fridge and some cooking equipment, which was great. There was also a small backyard. And of course the free wifi. Personally, the bed was a little to firm for me. But beside that, I've slept great. Happy and incredibly helpful personnel. Clean rooms and some lockers in most of the shared rooms for someone to keep things safe (there's the option of leaving it at the reception as well). Great wifi access everywhere, good equipped kitchen. Only 3' from Termini station which is the "starting point" for Rome since all metros/buses start or pass from there. I liked that it was really close to the main station in Rome, the staff were very helpful and friendly! During or stay there was two free pizza and wine evenings which were excellent because you could meet people! Across the road was a restaurant which unlimited spaghetti for €5!! We thoroughly enjoyed or stay!. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Guest profile was also very good and respectful. You can freely use kitchen to keep your own foods or to cook. Cleanliness was satisfactory but most important point is location. Its very close to Termini station. Great localization (5min to Termini, 1-2min to bus stops, 5min to metro line A), good breakfasts, all-you-can-eat dinners for 5EUR, air conditioning, free wifi, kitchen and garden. Overall, great value for money. We will definitely come back someday. Free breakfast is nice, and the 5 EUR dinner each night is really great for budget as its all you can eat with unlimited wine, beer and water. Delicious too. Beds were comfy and clean and the staff is really great, especially Barbara!. Low price, nice reception, breakfast(coffe-croissant), wifi in the room, really close to key points such as Termini(metro, airport bus), Repubblica(metro), warm room. Excellent choice for a short stay in Rome!. Freedom Traveller is a great location for the central train station -Termini, many of Rome's ruins, museums and shopping. Excellent location for back packers, easy by bus to the Vatican and St Peter's. Good value hostel in a fairly central Rome location. Dorms have their own bathroom and there is a kitchen for guests' use. Daytime staff were really friendly and helpful, and facilities were good. Actually I thought it was great. For the price you cant beat it. If you dont mind being in a room with people you dont know it then its not so bad. It is great for a 1 night, quick stay. Value for money, Nice/Helpful staff, Clean/enough wide room (TV inside), I like the painting on ceiling in the room (looks very old but classic), closet, table. Staff was great! Very human-friendly terms, checkout is pretty early but guests may stay in the common area as long as they wish, which is very important. The hostel is near the railway station. It is very convenient. Near to termini(central bus and train station), good wifi. Is ok, good price for the city, rome is pretty expensive. -Location -Room is spacious -Kitchen is well equipped. It is at walking distance from Rome - Termini. Good emplacement. The voices at the front desk can be clearly heard from room and the sheet smells sour, probably not drying thoroughly before putting away. No wi-fi signal in my room. Breakfast was not very good - stale croissants and cordial. We had to be away from the room between 10:00 and 15:00 so it would be cleaned. It might be a bit uncomfortable, but most people who'd stay in a hostel like this would most likely be touring around these hours. The breakfast was not so good, just one croissant and juice/coffee that won't keep you for more than a few hours. We were in a private room which was in a different street to the main hostel! The shower was cold and weak! But that is all I have to complain about, overall very good!. Street is a bit noisy. Mosquitoes in whole Italy :P. The lockout 10am to 3pm is annoying but not as strict as I'd thought - you're allowed to stay in common areas and ducking into your room for a short time is ok as long as the cleaners aren't working in there. The breakfast options is all sweet food - would have liked some fruit - but it's free so whatever. 10€ insurance fee for key loss, which the reception keeps until you check-out. The shower while clean was tiny with poor water rose and pressure. The breakfast was nothing to get one through to morning tea even. Cheaper for value if in the off season. The nighttime staff member was the very unhelpful and I saw him being really rude to other guests. If you know what to expect from them, there wasn't anything "not to like" You tend to get what you pay for.. Breakfast is really simple - only croassant, jam, coffee/tea... it was ok for me but if you think of breakfast very important, not suitable for you. Bathroom equipment is worn up. The room is a little bit small but it doesn't metter with good roomies. The location is a little hidden and took us a little while to find. Aircondition was broken and one night was really cold. there is no enough fresh air in rooms. Closure time between 10am to 3pm No communal bathroom but only in the rooms so disturbing for people sleeping. They are not accepting credit cards!. They didn`t accepted my credit card or any card!. Too cold in winter. The shower water pressure was weak when on hot. My room was in a different building to the kitchen. The breakfast was terrible, I had one bite of the croissant and tossed it out. The bed wasn't very comfortable either I could feel the springs just laying on my back. False advertising of the free food at the pasta and pizza place. It's ok if you're on a really tight budget, but otherwise the food is gross. The twin rooms are in a whole other building. The light in the shower turns off every 30 seconds so you need to wave your arms outside the shower so they turn back on. Would reccommend paying a little more for something half decent. Our room is beside the check-in desk. It is a little bit noisy. The hostel only provides vacuumized croissant in the morning. The elevator is locked so we must borrow the key in the front office. Is a little bit hard to find it because is inside of an appartment building. -They will charge you 10Euro for deposit when you check in then pay you back when you check out. But the weird thing is, if you only have 20Euro note on hand, they would tell you they don't have 10note for change, then charge you 20, even we can see there are many 10Euro note in their wallet. A lot of times, there was no water in the shower for 2-5 minutes. Only one bread for breakfast.
