  The Petrara Resort is a charming agriturismo resort in Avola. During our stay there, there were no wandering farm animals except for a couple of cats. The pool is really big and kept clean and kids have plenty of room to wander about and play. We had a quadruple room which was quite spacious and very clean with quite comfortable beds.   Everything about our stay was ideal and perfect. We absolutely loved the hospitality that Guido and Ada provided, as well as their entire team. The fruit and vegetables grown on site were amazing to enjoy for breakfast (especially the fres - The attention to detail was amazing. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The country setting was lovely. The only problems we had were returning at the end of a days outing in the car as the GPS did not pick up all the small roads. A very detailed map is important to have. As well there are one way streets in the nearby towns so you don't always follow the same routes leaving the hotel and returning to it.

We got flat with terrace at 3th floor, it was perfect! Very close is small supermarket, bakery, ferry port, many local eating places around. I recommend this small apartment hotel.

Extremely helpful staff who take genuine interest in their guests - all you have to do is ASK and Matteo (who speaks English well) will help you out. Owner offered us free lunch because our tour to Mt Etna had to be postponed from AM to PM due to car problems that he could not foresee.
