  My husband and I and his elderly parents stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Paolo and the rest of the staff were wonderful and very helpful throughout our stay. I would go back again and highly recommend the hotel. Information about the local historical sites to visit was very useful. There is a bus stop and train station both 5 minutes away which will take you to all the historical sites.   Maria Pia and Michel, who run this place, are two of the nicest people you could hope to meet. Warm, friendly, helpful and considerate (I'll come to that in a bit), they make up for all the shortcomings of the hotel itself. Once inside (and up the steep staircase), it is a wonderful experience.
