The best asset of this hotel is the staff who were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was very well-appointed and very comfortable. that's an oasis in the centre os naples! we reached the hotel by foot from the central railway ctation - there was rubbish everywhere while we were going, but caracciolo appeared like a miracle)) by the way, naples has it's own charm and i like it, but the difference is enormous on the first sight)) -

The staff were excellent. It is in a very good situation although the immediate square it is in, is slightly run down and can be intimidating at first. If the noise of fireworks upsets you, this is not the hotel for you, as there are a number of firework shops in the square and during the festivals there are constant loud bangs.

We arrived early (7am), the staff were more than happy to hold our bags for us and also gave us some helpful information about Naples. Although as previous people have mentioned, the street is really dirty because of the market, but the location for the station is great and inside the hotel, it is beautiful.

We booked at last minute so the fare was low.
We got for a small amount of money the facilities of a hotel which sometimes is better (24 hr service, a more complete breakfast, easy to access).

The hotel is located very close to the Central Rail Station, which makes it very easy to get to Pompei or Sorento. You can also reach the historical city center on foot in less than 30 minutes. The hotel looks very nice, it is spotless clean and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is basic italian-style, but they have fresh pastry avery morning and you can rely on it to start the day. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in Hotel Diamond as an overnight stop en route home to London from Positano. At the last minute we got seats on a flight leaving at 9.00pm and checked out much to the consternation of the manager who thought we didn't like the hotel. On the contrary, the room was clean and spacious and I give the staff 11 out of 10 for their helpfulness in arranging luggage and taxis at the drop of a hat.
