  A wonderful apartment hotel. There is no reception or 24/7 staff, but if you enjoy privacy this is the place for you. A view of the coloseum at such a price is just a miracle. It is conviniently located near two metro stops. The owners are very nice and hospitable.   Location was by far the best thing. The suggestions on how best to visit and tour Rome on foot from the non-24hr reception staff rep was fantastic. Bed was clean. Right next to the guest-house is the Roman Forum, several great basilicas, Colosseo is 5 minutes walk away, etc. etc. + The rooms are spacious and very well-furnished. The quality you'd expect to find in a 3-4 star hotel rather than in a guest-house. + There is a kitchen with a stove & fridge. Really nice :) Coffee-machine makes nice coffee and hot chocolate 50c a cup (as of September 2013). + The staff was super-friendly and really helpful.

  Had a wonderful time in Rome, Duca d`Alba was faultless, excellent friendly staff, location was 1 minute away from Cavour metro station. The Colosseum was a 10 minute stroll.   We absolutely LOVED House Monti!! In fact, on an 8 month trip around the world this is one of my top rooms! Great location with a nice square with a fountain around the corner and a view over colosseum. Nearby alot of sightseeing and a Metro station around the corner. 15 min walk to Termini. The staff was really serviceminded and helped us call about our luggage since we weren't able to recieve it when we were on a guided tour. High speed free internet. Comfortable beds and alot of space. We were in the suite so we also hade a fridge and a little pentry. Good cleaning eve
