  Hotel Ristorante San Carlo is located above Lake Maggiore with stunning views which extended to the Swiss/Italian alps. The lakeside towns were rustic and interesting although 'quiet' during our winter stay. The room was large and modern and all facilities worked well. The place was immaculately clean, the staff very friendly and waited up for us to arrive at 11pm. There was a good range available for breakfast and the dinner menu offered local cuisine, rabbit pie, fish from the lake etc. All with that amazing view.
