Everything. fantastic food both in the bar and in the terrific Restaurant which us actually an old church complete with stained glass windows. Large spacious and well appointed bed and bathroom Stunning location for exploring this beautiful area of the Republic. Great comfortable room. Great food - both bar food and breakfast are very high standard. Credit is due for cooking breakfast to order rather than laying out a buffet as so many similar hotels do. I seriously considered the Grianan as a wedding venue because everything was spot on, but it's recommended for people visiting Derry as well - just a 10 minute drive to the city centre but no noise at all. Everything about this hotel was better than we could have anticipated. When we asked a question of employment in the Republic the staff unexpectedly did research for us on computer and went to great efforts to give us a wonderful stay. The old church restaurant was a sight to behold. We would recommend without hesitation.Mrs. Jennifer Barras. An excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean, food is excellent, great location between Derry and Letterkenny with fantastic views of the Donegal countryside. Very reasonable rates, My wife and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing break. We found the staff very friendly. The food was amazing (in quality & quantity). The room was spacious and immaculately clean. Because the hotel is situated close to Derry city it is a perfect place for tourists who have rented a car and want to see Donegal. The accommodation and service couldn't be faulted. Nice, good value bar meals; delightful breakfasts; plenty of on-site car parking. Location is ideal for using as a base to explore adjoining scenic/rural areas without getting caught up in town traffic. I loved the way the staff were very helpful during the wedding reception. Everything was amazing. Though the room was advertised as single, in my opinion, this is a double which of course is a plus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Helpful and Friendly Staff. The only thing which was annoying was the high temperature of the room. However , given the climate of Ulster it is hardly a real issue. Nothing. Would not have any fault with this hotel but if I had to be picky, perhaps they could use more road signs to show guests how to get to it. no beans for breakfast!! no real dislikes lovely place. Not sure if it was a Hotel door or a bedroom door, but it kept banging into the early hours of the night. didn't like that the residents bar wasn't open..reception got you a drink. very large food portions in restaurant. It was a bit quiet would love to have a bit of entertainment a man playing a guitar would have been sufficient. the beds were a little bit firm. Wi fi did not work in bedroom.and phone signal very weak. Could provide more wheelchair parking. None. Only 1 card for the room,which meant the lights wouldn't work. loudness for wedding party - didnt get a proper sleep for 2 nights in a row, as we were on the same floor as the two wedding parties.. Not applicable. Room was too cold and was not clean enough. There was a dirty toothpaste lid in the plug hole and hair clips & dust under the bed. Drink was very expensive and rooms were not worth 97 pound sterling.
