Prior to my arrival I emailed the front desk about transportation from the airport -- they emailed me back immediately with the bus to take, where it drops me off, and how to get to the hotel from there.   The hotel was clae and excelled on all of the above points. Myself and my daughter had dinner in the bar and the food was lovely. The level of English for one of the staff members was quite poor but another staff memeber came to the rescue. The home made chips were lovely as was the pizza. The staff were excellent post checking out as my daughter left here ring on - We had a very comfortable stay and the best lifts we have ever been in, quick and silent.   The reception area was bright and spacious there was a lovely bar area with comfy sofa's-great for relaxing and having a few drinks.   My friend and I arrived at around 10.20am, we were soaking wet from the morning downpour and there was a twin room ready, they checked us in straight away. The bar was lovely, great service and reasonably priced, tasty food. We went to Dublin for a concert, if we had to go again, we would def stay at the Mount Herbert Hotel again.   Loved the room. (Room 202). When you went in the room door there was a living room area with 2 arm chairs, coffee table, fire place, TV, and an eating table with 2 chairs. Very bright and clean with a very deep bath. Loads of hot water. I liked the fact the room was very warm as it was -1 outside. I didn't avail o - Excellent value. I was worried about all the reports on noise, but it didn't bother me at all. It is fairly clear that it is going to be noisy anyway. Anyone complaining about this has been warned by other reviews and by the hotel's own website. It is ideal for anyone on a budget. Drinks were 2.50 at the bar and a large selection of meals from 6euro. If you prefer to be part of the party this place is great for you.
