An easy 15-minute walk to the historic Ennis downtown. The bus/train station is just as close, with great connections to Shannon airport, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, Cliffs of Moher, and other sites not to be missed on your visit. The bus from Shannon Airport (6 Euros) stops at the front door of West Country Hotel. The friendliness of all the staff. I enjoyed using the leisure centre, and found the reception nice and welcoming.

My stay was too short for comments and did not use services/facilities. everything from the food to the entertainment. very friendly staff and very helpful. Food was excellent, room clean and spacious and the staff were competent. The warm welcome we got on arrival.Friendly., Polite And Very Helpful. I liked the staff's attitude which was very professional and friendly. Ifelt very welcome at the hotel and I'd hope to use it again in thefuture should I need to.the staff were very friendly and the food in the grill restaurant was brillant on both ocassions we ate there. staff were very friendly good entertainment available ,very clean, ideal for a relaxing stay.staff were very plesent and helpful. the staff were very good and helpful. Parking available, friendly staff. very nice comfortable hotel. cant complain bout much. Free wifi. I found my stay at your hotel most enjoyable. However, some of my family (there were 9 in total) found the noise levels late at night rather disturbing. The food was very good, staff were helpful, and the rooms were very clean.Very handy but basic!. ease of getting food. As the weather was not so good during our stay and prevented us from enjoying the pleasant surroundings of Ennis, we availed of the fabulous pools and leisure center. Plenty to do in the locality. Facilities, staff, rate, comfort. Good for families. 3 restaurants. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the use of the hotels broadband facilities is excellent. I travel everywhere with my laptop and I would NOT stay in any hotel that didn't offer broadband. I need to stay in contact every day. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful duringthe day. However the bar was closed when we come back at night and we had to get water from the shop !. Big carpark; good leisure centre with 3 pools including a small one for kids; generally quite pleasant staff. helpful people at bar and desk. I enjoyed the spa facilities. rooms size for familys. Wi-fi. Bed was hard as a floor board and breakfast selection was rather little. Very nice server in breakfast room though. Staff were very friendly, beds extremely comfortable. Lovely powerful hot shower and bath.relaxing and variety of facilities. very helpful reception staff. leisure centre was good for the kids and rooms were very clean. Fantastic gym, good location, very low price. cafe west and the staff at reception. Car Parking. it was convenient for where we were going. Handy location, good health club.Not much. i arrived at 1pm and went to the desk just to ask a few questions as i reckoned the room would not be ready. The girl was welcoming. When i came back much later that night the welcome was not so good, and the place felt quite bleak. There was no atmosphere of friendliness or warmth. Service in restaurant a little impersonal. The bathroom wasn't lit very well in the room I was staying in. Besidesthat I thought it was a very good hotel. price should have included breakfast. the hotel rooms were a little too hot. breakfast not included. It was overpriced. As mentioned above. Noise from late night revellers.It was a little noisy at night. at 12.05 am at checking out time they were knocking on the door to get us out. (5 min after 12). The smell of dampness in hall ways. A little too much noise from drunken guests late at night.Bedroom linen smelled a little of stale smoke. Toenail on the carpet. Noise levels early mornig due to laundry trollies loading and noise dueto bar staff sorting bottles. Beds were comfortabel but duvet to hot. Tog on duvet13.5 to high for this time of year. Just a few points on this....the tables in the bar area were way too high for the chairs that were around them. ..it was very awkward especially trying to eat the bar food.....there was a stale musty smell when you got off the elevator on the 2nd floor...it was like dampness...the waiting staff were very inexperienced....with the money you pay, you shouldn't have to self service your breakfast.The hotel in whole but especially the room made an impression that it needs some investments and renovations. limited use of swimming pool and a poor attitude from attendants. I was in room 109 well used and old fashioned. In need of a total make over This did not put me off the hotel, it has great potential if some money was spent on it and brought up to date. kids not allowed in pool after 6 pm . after begin out all day it would be nice for them to have a swim. Room not well insulated against noise, couldn't adjust the radiator, food expensive. Not very inviting and old Bldg. Arrived at 2130 and were told that the restaurants had closed already even though patrons were still seated/eating and the closing time was 2200.Heating in room needs to be off in the evening, just on between 5pm - 7pm when you are getting ready to go out. Room wasn't very warm, radiator was under the window and the heat was bloacked by the curtains. Children running in the corridors all night. There was a wedding that night so the guests children were up until late and making allot of noise.waiting staff not experienced/organised enough. roon in need of upgrade -bathroom not good. the food was not that great could have been presented better some seats in the bar area needs totaly refurbishing and are filthy. Cold Breakfast, thin walls meant I was kept awake by screaming kids (at 1pm!), wireless went down twice (once for three hours), noisy radiator, broken television. the waiting time at the bar,the fact that in even the non-smoking rooms you can still smell smoke,the bar staff were rude,and in the grill room the food was undercooked and was still charged full price. Allowing noisy guests to disrupt other's sleep. Stale odour incorridors. Rooms would need a major facelift.I found the restaraunt to have a poor selection of menu. The bathroom was not very clean. The bathroom floor became floodedwhen using the shower. There was amusty smell throughout the hotel.wireless internet not available in bedrooms, no water in leisure centre showers. one receptionist was not helpful, others fine. it was not good value for money and there was a lot of noise both nights we stayed there. carpets were stained and dirty looking, wifi was intermittent,There was no refridgerator. It just felt quite without atmosphere or the usual Irish warmth. The bathroom was in need of renovation . i fel tthe price of 94 euros should have included breakfast, as the standard of room and welcome was not more than a £49 Travel Lodge at home. I had so looked forward to my overnight stay, but was disappointed.
