I've used the Ferryman on a regular basis during 2013, weekly at one stage...it's simply great value for money...very central location beside IFSC, Spencer Dock and Grand Canal Dock. Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, O2 and city centre within walking distance or a short bus or taxi ride. The rooms are comfortable and clean, tea & coffee, tv, wi-fi, painless booking and check-in/check-out, and a lovely breakfast with a choice of cereals, an authentic full Irish cooked breakfast, plenty of juice, tea. 所有 评语 »
The breakfasts were lovely and the staff very friendly. The room had a lovely view of the Liffey.
The beds were comfy and the rooms cleaned each day.
The manager helped us with our luggage, as did the breakfast staff when we were leaving. Ten out of ten for the staff - they were great.
The hotel is close to the city, we walked to O'Connell St and Temple Bar, easy walk and very safe.
The Hop On Hop Off bus went straight past the hotel (the quayside bus).
Not far to several restaurants if you d.
If you have ever dreamed about living one floor above a pub, here your dream may come true. It's really tempting to come down for a pint. The establishment is cosy and welcoming, albait do not expect any luxury. The staff is exeptionally friendly, the breakfast room is a gem. Cool price and easy-to-find location overlooking the river in the poshier and poshier docks district add to the nice overall picture. The Ferryman, however, remains an icon of what most of this part of the city must have l.
Dublin is expensive, so this is a good option of a budget but confortable place. Yes, there is a busy pub at the ground floor, but I've asked for a quiet room and they gave me one at the third floor, directed backwards. So I there was no noise at all, and it's nice to just go downstairs to get a beer. It is close to the ferry port, main bus station and a stop for the bus line to the airport, and in a walkable distance to the centre.
The staff were sooooo nice, made us feel very welcome. We were going to Billy Joel in the O2 and the ferryman was a perfect location. There is a lovely pub downstairs which was buzzing before and after the concert. Breakfast was fantastic and the waitresses were really nice and helpful. On checkout I met an extremely nice staff member who couldn't have done enough for us. I would without hesitation book this hotel again.
The staff was very friendly. The room was outstanding. We would rate
this more of a bed and breakfast than hotel. The full Irish breakfast
was custom prepared and served in a warm, friendly, elegant atmosphere.
It was a bit of a walk to the stores and activity but we liked being
away from the maddening crowd. The ladies serving breakfast were
fantastic and gave us some good recommendations.
The staff and bar is great downstairs. The location is great for the O2, Conference centre and also just for walking up the Quays into the city centre - which takes about 5-10 mins. The room was clean and looked onto the River. Our shower looked basic but had great power which was fab. There are stairs but not an issue if normal stairs aren't for you.
The Ferryman is a very tradiditional Irish pub, we loved it. The old familiar wooden floor and bar and all the antique assessories. The room was fantastic value for money, food excellent. It was a great hotel location wise. Would highly recommend the Ferryman and in future we will be booking the Ferryman for any more trips to Dublin.
We stayed in the FerryMan on Sunday the 26th of May. The staff were lovely and friendly our room was spotlessly clean and tide and a good size. We couldn't have asked for better for what we paid. The room they served breakfast was lovely too.
Will stay again next time I'm looking for a night out in Dublin.
Warm, comfortable, good bed, lots of pillows, clean towels every day, lovely river views, good showers, lots of hot water, good security, excellent Guinness, superb breakfast cooked to order and served in a lovely room overlooking the Liffey, extremely convenient for Convention Centre.
Comfortable room, and very quiet, too, I really enjoy my accommodation particularly my breakfast with Marie in gorgeous breakfast room, fairly good location (15 minutes' walk to O'Connel St.). I would definitely recommend this place.
Locality. Breakfast room was very nice and recently renovated. Breakfast great and staff very pleasant and this included bar staff. Bedroom small but cosy, bed very comfortable. Bathroom very small but towels changed daily.
Comfortable room, and very quiet, too, friendly staff, excellent breakfast included in the price, gorgeous breakfast room, fairly good location (15 minutes' walk to O'Connel St.). I would definitely recomment this place.
Nice clean warm comfortable quiet room close to City Centre & Connolly Station at reasonable price. Good freshly cooked breakfast in beautiful dining room overlooking the River Liffey served by jolly local waitresses.
The location was ideal for a visit to the o2 and the city centre well within walking distance. The breakfast room was gorgeous and it's a long time ago since I saw tables set up with lovely matching china.
So much fun! The hotel is above the bar so its easy to grab a drink and food! The noise is not a problem at all when trying to sleep, you can't hear anything. The staff is funny and friendly!.
Staff were excellent and very friendly. Room was spotlessly clean and my request for a iron/ironing board on arrival was actioned. Breakfast was lovely and the location could not be faulted.
view from window is lovely overlooking the River and modern Buildings and near to the Dockland.
Bed great comfort really clean and lovely breakfast. Power shower lovely hot water.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, excellent location close to amenities, homely and great value for money. Most definately would recommend this hotel had a lovely stay.
Location, convenient for the O2 and easy walk from Luas.
Great view from windows.
Ample tasty breakfast.
Decor, tasteful renovation/conversion of property.Value for money.
I liked the atmosphere in the pub (it very old world )in a very modern area, the breakfast room was fantastic with amazing views .the room was clean and comfortable.
The location, right opposite the Samuel Beckket Bridge. Although there is a pub down stairs, the noise did not travel into the accommodation side of the building.
I liked everything except carrying my luggage up four flights of stairs. Excellent location, access to transportation, full Irish breakfast, and great carvery.
everything, fantastic yet again 2nd stay in a year. Amazing welcome from everyone at The Ferryman and i must say the new breakfast room is absolutely beautiful.
Central venue, near city centre. The staff were so friendly and helpful and there was a great atmosphere in the bar.
Dining room was lovely and food beautiful.
a real gem in the heart of the docklands...nice room...great breakfast...lovely staff....good value ...a peaceful home away from home. I will be back!!.
Great hotel with very friendly staff , great location to get to and from the airport , I will definitely be staying at the Ferryman again in the future.
Loved it. Our first trip to Ireland and not our last. Staff were really friendly and the breakfast was v tasty. Have already recommended it to friends.
Good location, excellent breakfast and nice breakfast room, clean,
quiet despite a pub on the ground floor. And delightful view from the
room windows.
Hotel within 10 minutes walk of city centre, Breakfast served from 07:30. Direct access across a bridge to Financial Services Centre and Red Line Tram.
Location was brilliant. Breakfast was excellent as was the staff. Loved the china tableware. Would recommend and will stay there again.
Loved the view overlooking the Liffey. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the ladies who served breakfast.
the staff and location ,[going to concert in 02
so handy ]
the power of water in the shower great
great buzz in pub at nite.
Staff was amazing and the bar on the floor is just a gem of traditional Irish drinking. Such a treat. Breakfast was delicious!.
Staff were all very friendly. Easy to find. Lovely busy bar. Great breakfast. Great value for money. Definitely will be back.
Within walking distance of connolly station , O2 venue and city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good Irish breakfast.
Friendly athmosphere, walking distance from the city centre, a nice breakfast room, reasonable price, very good bar.
Great location for the O2
The pub was class. the rooms were very good and a good breakfast. Staff were very good.
The staff were very friendly and seemed to get on very well together as well as getting on with the customers.
our stay was really pleasent, the staff very helpful and the breakfast was great, would recommend this hotel.
It was good value for money the breakfeast was excellent staff friendly,5 minutes walk from the 02.
Friendly staff, clean rooms & a very comfortable bed. Very handy to have a bar downstairs.
A super hotel in fantastic location. Staff are amazing. So friendly and the craic was amazing!.
The staff was really friendly and easy going, the room was cosy, the location was spot on.
Everything owners were great room was great breakfast was to die for. Will be back.
Clean and friendly. Nice breakfast. Lively pub below hotel. Superb value
for money.
family run , clean and very near the O2 , good athmosphere in the bar , good value.
Staff all very friendly , great breakfast and clean rooms, fantastic location.
Very convenient to The Point. Beautiful lunch, beef would melt in your mouth.
Fantastic bar / pub downstairs, very friendly owners and a lovely breakfast.
Nothing. It's great value for Money!.
No lift so luggage had to come up three flights of stairs - but as we had lots of help it wasn't a problem.
A piece of soap in the bathroom would do no harm. And more than four channels (all pretty hopeless) on tv would be nice... Anyways, I considered these small nuisances as a part of Ferrymen's charm :).
Beakfast was fine, but there could be some lighter options for who is not much into de Full Breakfast thing. Also, they don't serve food at the pub, and there aren't many options in the neighborhood, so you must plan your dinner before get back to the hotel.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that there was no lift but it would not stop me staying there again.
The bar noise was a bit loud but it stopped at midnight. The room was a
bit small but the space was used well.
I could imagine it might be noisy at the weekend- but if your in Dublin for the craic, I'd say this is the place to stay!.
We couldn't stay long enough.
Sadly no evening meals available (at least when we were there) and a considerable walk to find anything better than a hotel bistro or a pizza place, but all the better for the waistline!.
I liked everything except carrying my luggage up four flights of stairs.
Bathroom very small and should be a priority for upgrading. Sink too small and shower was a tight squeeze.
View from my window - sort of an 'industrial lanscape' (but I know it can't be helped, so it was OK with me); absence of any, even tiny, shelf in the shower cabin (this can certainly be helped).
Nothing.
Only downside for me is that i could not get food in the hotel in the evening - which would of saved me going out each night elsewhere - Other than that excellent value for money and will be staying next week.
There is no car park and had to park in the nearest Q parking which cost 18 euro.
There is no lift and a friend who is elderly could not really walk up the stairs.
There is no foods at the bar so had to walk to eat.
Could not open the window.
Traffic noise, I slept well but noise disturbed my wife's slumber.
as it is a listed building there is no lift.
The entrance to the accommodation can be a bit off putting, with load music and drunk people down stairs fulling up the doorway.
Can't think of anything worthwhile.
Nothing.
Very low signal of Wifi and very hard to connect to the network due to
network problems. And no help from staff to fix the problem. Reception
in the pub - especially in the evenings you must wait for for the beer
buyers to recieve your room or ask any question.
nothing.
No lift (elevator)! It can be a pain having to go 3 floors to get to your room.
No complaints at all.
The only thing was no bar food served at the weekend.
May benefit from a slight refurb!.
Although the rooms facing the waterfront have an amazing view it was quite noisy. Possibly down to no double glazing which they're probably not allowed due to age of building.
Nothing i didnt like tbh.
I liked everything.
No complaints.
can't think of anything !.
leaving :).
TV reception very snowy, did not affect us though. Would have liked to have evening meal prior to going to The Point.
Nothing!.
