  We really had a great time. fira (karterados) is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday especially in june. Thea Studios is well located, close to the center, restaurants, bars, etc. You can easily rent a quad and exploring the island with pleasure.   Highly recommended, with views of the sunset/caldera to die for. An excellent mid-range option. Langas has the same private balcony views and a nice pool (albeit very small) as its luxury neighbors like Astra and Gold Suites, but at far less cost.   Great atmosphere, it had nice private rooms with air conditioning to camping grounds. Great pool and bar with lovely staff, shop, restaurant all part of the grounds and right in the centre of Fira... Stayed in 3 hotels Hitlon, Oia and Sea Wave. Sea Wave was the best of them. If you want to experience what its really like on the island this is the place to stay. Close to bus stop, grocery store,beach. The owner Mike made sure you had everything you needed. Stavros was wonderful he told us all about Perissa, made sure we never got lost. Everyone spoke (and understood) perfect English, and had plenty of suggestions for places to eat and visit.
