  The staff, especially the proprietress, were really helpful friendly and thoughtful. They all spoke good English. We immediately felt at home - among friends. Eva, the hostess is a wonderfully friendly and helpful person. We didn't arrive until midnight, she left us a welcome note and instructions about the key. She went so far as to make us a take-away breakfast when we had to leave to catch the midnight ferry. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is meticulously clean, and the beds are the softest I've experienced in Greece so far. The pool area is as good as any luxury hotel, and the outdoor gardens are lovely.

  The rooms are modern, tastefully decorated and clean, with air conditioning (when the balcony door is shut), with bed, desk and chair, wardrobes, draws etc, and a fridge.   First of all the location is perfect. Santorini is a paradise place of the planet. The Kamari beach is very nice and I can say, that if You go to Santorini - You'd better stay in beach area of the island and take tours to the architectural part of the island. The tours to Oia, volcano, Thirassia are very popular,renting cars is extremely popular, the island is small, so no blockers for living - Location is the best, looking over to promenade and beach.   Best hosts we have ever had at any place we have been before on holidays. We booked a budget friendly accommodation and received much more than can be expected for the price. Mikalis and Anna - the managers of "Ambeli Apartments" were amazing. We received an outstanding service from the first minute on. They gave us the feeling as we would make part of - Michalis and Anna were absolutely amazing and made my time at Ambeli a true delight. The lovely apartment was facing the pool with double doors opening to views of the hills from the bedroom at the back - beautiful! It was a few minutes walk from the end of the beach strip so was lovely and quiet while still being so close to the beach and some lovely bars and restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone else thinking of it.
