The location couldn't be better. The view of the Acropolis from the rooms located between the 7th and 9th floor is sublime. Breakfast is excellent, but without those rich cholesterol things you are used to in non-continental breakfasts. - Very friendly staff and accommodating in every way. Lot of help withlocal knowledge.

We have been impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of staff members. We also got free upgrade of our room to suite which was nice. The Athos is located within walking distance of the Plaka area and the Acropolis as well as the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch...we are walkers but this is easy walking. If you can get a room on the 4th floor you can get a spectacular view of the Parthenon from your window. Either way the view from the roof is just as beautiful.. The shopping streets are close by too, as well as lots of good eating options.
