Room cleaning was possibly the best I've experienced, brilliant white sheets and we never had a knock for room cleaning, our room was always prepared whilst we were away.   We spent only one night in this hotel, we found the reception staff very kind and helpful expecially for the possibility to check-in by night as it happens. The room was very big and very clean, the air conditioning was work very well (I've been there on September), also free wi-fi is available.   The hotels is quiet, clean and with a fantastic breakfast. One of us was sick and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. We extended our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. As for the comments about the neighbourhood, except for one street between the museum and the polytechical school it was just fine.   The Achillion is a good mid-range hotel in a slightly seedy part of Athens. It is fortunately not far from the Omonia and Metaxourghio metros, and an easy walk to the National Archaeological Musum. The double-glazing is effective in shutting out street noise. Service was exceptional, a lightbulb being changed within minutes of my mentioning it.   The concierge spoke English well and was patient with me although the letsbookhotel.com website misrepresented the description for a "sun terrace", which is just a standard balcony and not a outdoor area with sun and views of the city. I was impressed by how efficiently the room was made up by the house-keeper, in a matter of 2-3 minutes. This is probably one of the best locations for at this price range, however, the pictures (on letsbookhotel.com) showing the Akropolis from the hotel is bit of a stretch!
