Since the very beginning we were very happy with the hospitality of the host and the tranquility of the place that is just a few minutes away from the port. We were picked up and dropped off at the port, Mike picked up and dropped off visiting friends too, made reservations for us, showed us parts of the island, told us where to go, and was just incredibly warm and welcoming. The resort was beautiful and well taken care of, definitely good for partying, but that's what we came for! The best week to end our trip!! Ios was a blast!

The rooms all have private balconies, but there are also communal spaces which make it easy to meet other travellers. The garden setting is gorgeous and really peaceful. Many people hit up Ios to party, but we had a very relaxing time staying at Villa Mata. The little outdoor kitchen is handy for cooking up some food. Also the staff were really helpful when we were planning our onward leg.
