The rooms all have private balconies, but there are also communal spaces which make it easy to meet other travellers. The garden setting is gorgeous and really peaceful. Many people hit up Ios to party, but we had a very relaxing time staying at Villa Mata. The little outdoor kitchen is handy for cooking up some food. Also the staff were really helpful when we were planning our onward leg.

  Modest but very cozy rooms next to a quiet, nice beach. Location perfect (10-15 minute walk up to the city, bars and nightlife).
