  The location is a little bit remote without a car, but this provides more privacy. I think it's a very nice location compare to the rather busier and noisier Oia or Fira.   The hotel is very very beautiful with the best location you can have in Santorini. We rented a Junior suit, with private jaccuzzi and it was just wonderful. Amazing sunset from your terrace, very nice bedroom. The owner is a ver nice person. Our host Loukas bent over backwards to accommodate our every need. The suite was clean, modern and comfortable. Imerovigli is a 20-30 minute walk away from the capital (Thira) and has a couple of fantastic taverna's.   Location of the hotel is one of the best in Santorini. I am not sure about the altitude, but Imerovigli village is one of the highest points of the island which allows a magnificent view of Oia and Thirasia. I stayed there with my girlfriend whom I proposed during our stay. The ambient is just made for it.   We enjoyed everything about our stay at Merovigliosso. They were kind enough to pick us up from our previous accommodation in Fira and even gave us an early check in. Langas has the same private balcony views and a nice pool (albeit very small) as its luxury neighbors like Astra and Gold Suites, but at far less cost.
