  The staff, especially the proprietress, were really helpful friendly and thoughtful. They all spoke good English. We immediately felt at home - among friends. Our room was pleasant, airy and had a view of the sea from its balcony. We made good use of the tiny whitewashed traffic free streets (well apart from the occasional motorbike or mule train) that we accessed from the - Would recommend this hotel. Eva, the hostess is a wonderfully friendly and helpful person. We didn't arrive until midnight, she left us a welcome note and instructions about the key. She went so far as to make us a take-away breakfast when we had to leave to catch the midnight ferry. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is meticulously clean, and the beds are the softest I've experienced in Greece so far. The pool area is as good as any luxury hotel, and the outdoor gardens are lovely.

  First of all I was really glad that the hotel organised for us pick-up from the port, it made our travel to Santorini much more easier.   Very friendly stuff, vey close to the city and the bus station. - The Lignos is a very modern and contemporary hotel and I was veryimpressed with the standard of hotel and the price. It is 5 mins walkto the ferry port and you can catch a bus across from the port whichtakes you to the marina which is nice for a wander, something to eatand a drink.
