  The Nefeli hotel is clean and was roomy for a two person stay. Very convenient location if you plan on using bus travel around Crete, 50m away. My friend left his cable at the hotel and we contacted them if it was there. They found the cable and mailed it to his address for free. We hope to return next yea - The balcony view was amazing. You can see all the harbor. The room itself was simple but clean. There is soundproof balcony doors (the harbor is noisy throughout all the night). The staff was helpful, we got some tea for free to enjoy in our balcony. We liked the breakfast as well with a glass of fresh orange juice. I would definitely advice it for other travellers (be sure to book a room with a balcony and sea view).

They let me check in early and because it was towards the end of the season they upgraded my room from a double to a quadrouple. You can book excursions around crete through the hotel. I booked a hike to Samaria Gorge, the old man at reception woke up and made me breakfast before the hike. It's also right on the town beach and 10 minute walk to the old part of Chania.

  As I could not find any comprehensive review on this hotel here is mine. Me and my wife (in our early 30ties) stayed in the hotel recently for 8 nights. The hotel is family run by two very friendly and welcoming brothers who sometimes joined by their father who is also very welcoming.   A very good first impression of Crete gave me Mrs Lena and Mr Ilia, the hotel owners.
