  Staff was very helpful, room had a small sitting area plus a small balcony with table and 2 chairs, and all was very clean. The city of Konstanz provides free bus passes. To get them, show your passport and fill in a form with the hotel staff. Breakfast is available for an additional 8 euros per person. It's outside of the main city area, but you get a free bus pass for the 10 minute ride downtown if you stay more than 2 nights.
