We weren't aware of the lack of an airconditioner as it wasn't necessary in the spring weather.   Walking distance from the Railway Station. If you are conversant with using public transport it is absolutely fantastic. But a lot of the locations are in easy walking distance.   The location was good, just a little out of the heart of the city. There was plenty of room to move around. Everyone on the staff spoke fluent English. Best food is two streets behind the hotel. Not a great selection on the main street. But found plenty of great food two blocks behind the hotel. Also, I loved being in Prenzlauer Berg close to great shops, restaurants, etc. It is conveniently located to Alexanderplatz, but not too close that the Chaos from that comes near by. You can take the tram 3 stops or walk there. Beautiful light, comfortable studio! I wish I had an apt. like this in Berlin. :)
