  La villa Garenne is a wonderful guesthouse for a stay in Vannes as it is very close to the old city and to the port (the city itself justifies a visit). The house is nicely renovated, rooms are charming, beds are comfortable, the owner is nice and helpful and a good breakfast is offered. Truly recommended. The room was lovely and the bed so comfortable. We were served homemade yogurt, fresh croissants and pastries, coffee, tea and juice in a lovely dining room before setting out for the rest of our journey. The proprietors could not have been more charming or helpful. Would definitely highly recommend.
