The Relais was simple but had good Wi-Fi and lovely bed. But the high light was the Gourmet Restaurant. We were glad to have a reservation; at 5 after 7 pm the restaurant was full. The good was to die for. The escargots are a must!.
The bedroom was fine, the reception excellent, the food was far better than we were expecting beautifully presented and delicious. We sat outside late drinking with other guests. It was all very relaxed and pleasant,.

The friendly, hard-working young staff who were keen to make an impression, especially in the dining room; the very reasonable and well prepared dinner menu and wines and the fresh bread and pastries at breakfast.
The restaurant had very good food, and although the (new) bathroom was not completely finished I had the best shower in 6 weeks of travelling!.
The dinner was excellent. If I lived in the area, I'd have dinner here regularly. Breakfast was good. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
typically country French in a delightful village, close to the motorway so good for an overnight stop on the way south. Excellent food.

At first it did not grab our affection and a hotel nearby was far more beautiful but the restaurant there was far more expensive and not what we required on a travelling overstop. Our meal was perfect and reasonable. Beatifully presented and delicious.
The furniture in the bedroom was old and tired and the room had little character. As this had originally been two inter-connecting rooms, we heard everything from our neighbours.

Older rooms need to be refreshed but largely acceptable as they are.
Lack of hot water in the morning and unable to have a shower. Not good enough nowaday's.
