  This wee hotel, a renovated building with seven guest rooms, is smack-bang in the heart of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, on the main pedestrians-only walking street (thus vehicular access is from the back). The location on the main pedestrian shopping street, Rue Gambetta, is perfect once you arrive. The street can be packed with people, but it closed down at 8 P.M. when we were there in April, offering complete quiet for the evening. We thought the beautifully-presented breakfast was well worth the money. St. Jean-de- Luz is a great base for seeing the Basque country, and Les Almadies is a wonderful
