  on arrival the manager spoke to us in very good English and was fantastic, very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. The room and facilities were excellent, as was the weather.   The town of Azay-Le-Rideau is beautiful, and a great stopover between Calais and SW France. Lots of bars and restaurants to explore, nice bar by the river for the children to paddle in. Our children also enjoyed riding their bikes around. The hotel is well located in the main part of town, and is a lovely building. Staff were really friendly and hel - The staff were very friendly and they had excellent advise on a couple of restaurants to eat. Azay-le-Rideau is a smaller town and we found that charming. The Azay-le-Rideau Chateau is right down the street! It was easy to drive to the other Chateaus in the area and avoid the bigger city of Tours (parking, noise, etc.). Breakfast in the courtyard was a wonderful way to start a day (and we are still wondering about the horns embedded in old wall...) For a family of 4 this hotel was an excellent
