  We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful grounds and swimming pool at this hotel. The rooms were also quite nice, although we mainly just slept there. This is also a good location to take day trips to Avignon, S - We have stayed at the Mas four times and always find the place relaxing, well run and friendly.   I had heard lots of good things about Oustau and it did not disappoint. The grounds are stunning. We stayed at the Manoir in a room with a terrace. It basically had it's own private patio.   Clean, comfortable and friendly and situated on the edge of the small but vibrant town of Maussane-les-Alpilles which has plenty of restaurants and bars. But why stray from Val Baussenc to eat? The food is excellent and reasonably priced. My husband couldn't get away from the bull steaks which almost melted in the mouth! We had both dinner and breaky in the hotel and it was so delicious and value-for-money. Definitely recommend to others. No need to scratch head for dinner venue.
