Lovely staff who as a regular guest always seem to remember the extra chair I like in my room and mugs with handles. Well done all of you. Fantastic food. If you stay have diner its delicious. 24Hr concierge so no problems with delayed arrival as happened to us when ferry was 5 hrs late. 2 mins from large Carrefour so handy for last minute wine/cheese shopping to take home. Perfect place to stay for visiting d day landings. Spacious rooms with plenty of space in disabled rooms.

Clever washing cubicle... very ingenious, Good beds although overall colour-scheme a bit dour... needs a re-think but stylish when new no doubt. Staff exceedingly helpful despite our quirky ways. Very nice Hotel with excellent Restaurant and good Breakfast. The hotel was conveniently situated a minute off the main road to/from the Port. Adequate parking on site with security gate at night. The hotel was modern and the room functional with a very good, compact bathroom. We didn't use the hotel restaurant but a good choice of meal options were available at a range of prices. If you like efficient, business like chain hotels, this one is fine. It is very well located for the port of Ouistreham, a four minute drive away (the staff are obviously well used to welcoming late arrivals from the evening ferry). It is comfortable, and the breakfast is above average for a French hotel of this type. This was a one night stopover on our way down to Saintes. We arrived on the Ferry at 9:30pm and needed a place to stay near the ferry port. This hotel was close to the port, easy to find and offered us a bed for the night. Check in and out were straightforward. We would stay there again. The décor and the politeness of the staff. The room was comfortable and generally well-equipped. The situation is ideal for people travelling from the port and the food in the restaurant was very good if a little copious for someone with a smaller appetite. We have stayed in six different hotels in Ouistreham and in future we are going no further than the Best Western. We regularly take the ferry to Portsmouth and this hotel is convenient, friendly and very comfortable. Why look elsewhere?. We stayed at the Mare O Poissons on when travelling to France on Brittany Ferries. It was a very convenient stopping point, but we were not there long enough for any of the categories listed above to apply to us. The room was spacious and the requested location on the gound floor very useful for one night to quickly and easily bring in the luggage. Very comfortable and quiet. Clean bathroom. Very convenient for ferry port and central to Normandy WW2 Beaches and memorials. Got an excellent deal for 2 rooms. Rooms excellent with good facilities (coffee/tea making). Excellent decor in all areas, very well sound-proofed rooms, the staff were cheerful and very helpful, and the breakfast plentiful and fresh. Will definitely stay here again. Room very large by French hotel room standards, well sound-proofed, bed extremely comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was lovely - very good value for money. Everything about this hotel was first class. The resturant deserves special mention as the sea food quality and freshness where of the highest order. This was our return stop for the ferry...perfect. The evening meal was very good. The service was good and our overall stay was equal to the first. This is a modern hotel with very clean and comfortable rooms which is very conveniently located for the ferry. It also has a very good restaurant. We wanted a convenient over night stay having come across on the ferry. It was easy to find and comfortable with easy parking so it did the job. We were visiting the Normandy beaches and started here for Sword Beach. Very clean, spacious and quiet. Centrally located to town and ferry. Superb decor and comfort, super staff - and we benefitted by a 'special offer' half board within our room rate - a bargain with a vengeance. Arrived late after dinner so went straight to our room which was very comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast next morning. Very close to the Ferry Port Will stay there again. The Restaurant seating was unusual and most uncomfortable for some. A bit too sloppy for us. No obvious Bar area although the optional lounge was very attractive with it's white leather seats and settees. Somewhat cold and impersonal but we only there one night and left early so not in a position to really judge. Wi-Fi was a bit hit or miss. It is what it is, but there is little charm or character in this modern hotel. Nothing. The was a slight lack of conviviality, due, I think, to the lack of a separate bar where people could gather for the aperitive and to chat about the day's activities. Also, the wifi does not reach the bedroom. As well as the admirable gastronomic meal available in the evening, it would be helpful if there was a simpler (and less expensive) meal for people like us who had been travelling all day, and just want a light meal and an early night. Poor quality breakfast with little left towards the end of the allocated breakfast time. Staff friendly but overstretched. Parking a little bit tight. Breakfast somewhat over-priced. Nothing. Nothing the hotel was perfect for our stop-over. The colour scheme... a bit depressing, especially for Winter (although we did like the white seated Lounge). View from window...a bit sad: could be more creative. Luggage trolleys would be useful as in other Hotels where we stayed. Nothing really. Thought coffee tasted like instant?. Perhaps the worse is that although they provide free Wifi you are unable to get a signal from your bedroom! We chose not to eat at the restaurant as it was extremely overpriced! I do not doubt or know about the quality but it was very expensive. In our opinion the wines were somewhat overpriced in the restaurant. Our room was well-presented apart from a kettle with no lid and make-up all over the hair-dryer. The latter would be easy to miss unless you tried to use the dryer, but maybe more scrupulous checking would be advisable. - We were disappointed that we were not able to have diner at the hotel. It was a Sunday and we were not informed that the dining room was closed Sunday evenings. - Uncarpeted floor could have been noisy for the bedroom on the floor below. - Lack of towel rails in bathroom. Bit further out from Ouistreham than description - 1 mile + cycle from ferry at night on busy road. Excellent restaurant but very expensive. Slightly out of town (1.5km) but not too bad. As a foot passenger on Brittany Ferries? The lack of transport at the port of Ouistreham. A suggestion would be that, if required, a pre-bookable shuttle service could be provided by the hotel at a nominal fee for transits from and to the ferry. port. pillows were a bit small. Nothing. No complaints at all. We would have liked a more budget restaurant option. It was a bit grey and the breakfast was not good value based on a previous stay so we didn't have it. The food in the dining room was good, though expensive. We also felt there were some 'issues' with the staff in the kitchen!. Nothing. Wifi didn't work in our room. Fine in the lobby. no dislikes. Nothing at all. lack of exterior seating. Restuarant staff a bit abrupt. Room was ok bit small but we got a cheap price. A dog in the hotel. Tried to inveigled itself into our party whilst we were eating. Also sneezed leaving mucus on the floor of one of the public areas. Not the fault if the staff who were not there at the time. The owners were entirely to blame. not having a proper bath only a shower. No British tv channels overpriced. Breakfast seemed expensive but in fairness I didn't sample it as I was leaving early in the morning. Nothing.
