We were pleasantly surprised that when we asked what the wonderful smell was coming from the kitchens the staff took the initiative to ask the chef and we got a selection of wonderful warm pieces of cakes he had just baked. Was not sure what to expect because some of the reviews were negative, but as a frequent Europe traveler, I found it better than expected and a good value - I mean, it is a 3 star, not a 5 - Hotel is in a lovely location with 2 stops on the metro to the centre.
