  The owners were so friendly and welcoming and made us feel so at home. We booked La Mare Elan as a stopover point both at the beginning and the end of our two week holiday, and I can honestly say that all six of us were really looking forward to staying there again and spending time with the owners again. With other guests and the owners on hand throughout, it had the atmosphere of a House Party.. The previous evening on the recommendation of Madame we ate well at a hotel on the coast at Houlgate La Mare Elan is a real gem!

  We liked everything about the accommodation. It was a very warm welcome and we had all our needs catered for. Our host was very generous and giving. The food was superb and overall the hospitality was second to none.
