  We liked the friendliness of staff. It was only 1km walk from hotel to Cognac therefore enabling us to leave car at hotel. It was also near to large supermarket for cheap petrol etc. All the staff did everything possible to make our stay comfortable.The manager or owner spoke excellent English. - as usual everything is simple and perfect.   Good location, easy to find next to railway station. Rooms clean and of reasonable size. Breakfast good selection, nice to have homemade preserves - Everything!! The accommodation, the facilities, EXCELLENT staff, meals ... We were treated as individuals and made very welcome.

  The hotel was "funky". Furniture painted on the walls of the corridors, paintings directly painted onto the walls and the dining room is bright colours and welcoming. The couple who own it are friendly as are the girls in the restaurant. They made us feel at home from the minute we arrived.
