  The welcome and the tranquillity - but we were there out of season so parking was easy on site too. Very close to railway station so easy to get to Toulon and the rest of the coast - also easy walking distance to Bandol town centre shops & beach.   If you are seeking French charm instead of universal modernity, this is the place for you. A bit quirky, but absolutely wonderful in every phase. The views are stunning, the room was comfortable with a large bed and the shower had lots of hot water. Dinner is excellent with limited choices, but they are - Hotel is in an excellent location overlooking the bay, with superb dining with panoramic views. Stall is friendly and well trained. Restaurant is excellent as well, but does not serve lunch Tues. and Wed. However, there are many fine restaurants in Bandol. I don't know about their language skills, as we are also French-speaking, but there was an American couple there, and they were very pleased as well.
