  Nu house hotel is located right in the nightlife action are of Quito - in the Foch. There are great bars, restaurants and shops around which is brilliant. The staff were incredible. They all spoke excellent English and really helped us when we needed to arrange a car the following morning to Mindo and answered all our questions. The room was spot - This hotel is located right in the heart of the entertainment area. Coffee houses, restaurants and shopping was just a minutes walk away. Some wonderful parks were within 15 to 20 minutes walk and it was super easy to get a taxi anywere you we wanted to go. The tour buses also picked us up at the front door, which was a big plus when going on day trips. Staff was very nice, but didn't go out of there way to supply maps of the area, suggestions on where to go, etc. They did speak a little Englis

  We stayed in Quito for 2 nights waiting for our flt back to US. The area is a mix of commercial and few hotels. Safe to walk in daylight but use caution at night. It is a couple of blocks from the Plaza Foch area with all of its bars and restaurants. Very fun and lively area. The hotel is just OK. What you would expect from the price. There is no coffee - Comfy beds, quiet room (twin suite #514), good wifi. It was just a short walk to the main square. Great place to overnight as we travelled to airport in the morning. Taxi took exactly 1 hour to new airport leaving at 7:30 am. Sad to leave Ecuador but our 90 day visa was up. This was a modern, western style hotel very different from the boutique places we had generally been staying in, but a good comfortable place to leave Ecuador from.

  Great facilities. After travelling around Ecuador for 2 weeks we wanted a higher end hotel for our last night in Quito. This hotel fits the bill if you want somewhere with excellent facilities (FULL gym, swimming pool etc), good efficient service.   I have travelled extensively and we found the hotel staff, particularly Luis at the front desk, to be extraordinarily helpful, going above and beyond!   Antinea was an excellent place for our family to stay! We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and found it to be exactly what we needed. It was really spacious and gave us the feeling of staying in a home in Ecuador rather than a chain hotel! The location was great. After being down there on a Friday night, we were definitely glad that we did not - I really liked the staff here. They were always trying to help you, friendly, always said hello to you every single morning...and the rooms were superclean, spacious, and felt homely. Free internet was available, access to many restaurants, good laundry service with reasonable cost. I gave the cleaning lady a big backpack full of clothes and it came back fresh smelling, superclean and ironed for $14 USD....I think that reasonable..compared to other destinations I have been.
