  After a weekend of alcoholic debauchery in Brno, my girlfriend and me had a last stop at Prague before leaving home. And really, this was such a difference compared to what we've experienced in Brno. The stop was the Golden Star hotel, a home from home with friendly personnel who helped us immediately. Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

  The most amazing thing was the location. It was in a kind of court with restaurants and nice gift shops... And 30sec away from the old town square. As a female solo traveller... Tbh there were 3 double beds - This was a gem of a find - very close to the old town without being caught up in the tourist trap necessarily. Being secluded on a quiet square with a view of the Tyn Church, the nights were very peaceful and the beds were the largest I've ever seen (exceptionally comfy as well).The bathroom had a large shower and bath as well as heated floors - which was a pleasant surprise on a cold autumn morning. Breakfast was a good standard of a continental style breakfast. Hotel also offers help setting
