  After a weekend of alcoholic debauchery in Brno, my girlfriend and me had a last stop at Prague before leaving home. And really, this was such a difference compared to what we've experienced in Brno. The stop was the Golden Star hotel, a home from home with friendly personnel who helped us immediately. Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

Advertised as room for 4 (2 double beds) we had come prepared with an air mattress for the other two adults but there were also two full size couches and a love seat.   The staff were incredibly hospitable and accommodating. We had a small problem with the room which was allocated to us and they immediately sorted the problem out for us, in a friendly and polite fashion.
