  Excellent family run hotel. Clean and friendly. Weather was very cold so electric heaters were supplied in room without asking. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Initially I had poor WiFi but immediately my room was changed to give me full five bars WiFi signal.   Motovun is the Queen of Istrian inland towns - Villa Borgo is located on the edge of the old town with stunning views form a shared balcony facing the setting sun. Slavin was helpful & informative about Motovun and the surrounding area - and full of apologies for restrictions on parking due to the new Mayor. Breakfast buffet included the usual suspects - with the addition of the nicest dark (rye?) bread we encountered on our travel - I loved it all: Motovun as one of the most beautiful medieval cities I've seen in my life, if not the most beautiful, the host Slaven who's offering his finest grappa all the time (go for 'figue' if he's got some), the other hostess Jana, the hotel/guesthouse itself located at the best location in Motovun, the terrace which guests can sit on in the sun enjoying the view of the surrounding hills, of the sun setting and going down.
