About Milna: We enjoyed the atmosphere in Milna, it was peaceful and relaxed, and our 5 grandchildren, aged 16-9, soon got aquainted with the area and decided that Fortuna was the ultimate place for lunch, being practically on the beach and with a varied and tasteful menu.Those of us who liked to walk, found some nice opportunities for that, and if we come back (perhaps in the autumn), we will probably explore more of the suggested trails.About Fortuna: We cannot praise the hosts enough! 所有评语 » The staff are wonderful! We had a very early morning ferry back to the mainland at the end of our stay and would be missing the breakfast in the hotel's dining room. Not only did the staff pack us a breakfast to eat on the ferry, but they also packed us a huge lunch! Unbelievably generous in a day and age where so many places nickel and dime their guests. Upon check-in, they upgraded us to a three-bedroom family suite (with a second bathroom) at no additional charge! We had originally requested. The hostess Janica Tudor bears a royal name.. and carries it like a real lady ! She works from early in the morning to late at night to make your stay as cool and enjoyable as possible. The rooms are clean and the ones facing the sea have nice small balconies. Breakfast is a dream make true... with anything you might dream of having to start the day. Fortuna is a family business. They also have olive trees.. which enables you to try a beautiful tasty and purely natural olive oil if you decide . Your stay at the Fortuna Hotel starts with being picked up for free at the bus terminal in Hvar town in a car driven by a member of the host"s family and driven . Or ring in advance and they'll pick you ip from the ferry wharf . 5 minutes later you've arrived at the beautiful little beachside village of Milna. Enjoy the view from the beachfront Hotel Fortuna rooms, swim , walk a few metres to one of the great seaside restaurants in the village or enjoy the great food at the hotel Fortuna. If. My husband and I decided not to rent a car, but rely on the hotel taxi service. For 50 Kunas, we got dropped off or picked up to and from the town center within 5 minutes. The final trip to town was on the house and straight to the dock. Both Magda and Jurica were warm and helpful. Their kids all worked at the hotel with them. The food, while not being the "best" on that strip, exceeded my expectation compared to the price. Best of all, the quietness at night is conducive to sleep. Overall, jus. Looking thru all privously recommendations before leaving it sounded to good to be tru! But well in place it was just as good if not better. This family run hotel is as good as it gets. The family will make you feel like VIP´s trying to make your stay as pleasent as possible. The restaurant is really good with good prices. Do not miss their home made wine and oliv oil. Rooms are very modern and well cleaned every day with free WiFi. Going to the beach takes 30 seconds. We will be coming back so. This lovely hotel is just perfect for a relaxing stay. The family that operate the hotel made us feel instantly welcome and at home. We had intended to explore Hvar Island using this hotel as our base, instead we spend virtual the whole six days of our stay simply relaxing around the hotel and Milna beach, which is literally 5 metres from the front door. The hotel is modern, comfortable, clean and just charming. We are already planning our next trip and will most certainly return to Hot. Magda was a great host. Extremely friendly. She does everything there, (together with husband and son) and wants to make it as comfortable for you as possible!!! It is a family run hotel and it shows that they love their job. The hotel is right on the beach. We had dinner at their restaurant every night.They have several interesting traditional dishes which are worthwhile trying. Their own wine and olive oil are excellent. Beautiful walks around the area and not far from the town of Hvar (3km. Hotel fortuna is located about 10 min drive from hvar town. It is possible to hike along the coast but it is not a quick walk. It has two nearby rocky beaches which are incredibly quiet and have all the amenities you could ask for in front of crystal clear blue water. The facilities are immaculate and the staff are incredibly friendly and multi-lingual. Breakfast is hearty and the restaurant is quite good and reasonably priced. There is literally not one bad thing I can think to say- an ex. I would give this place an 11 out of 10 if I could. The hosts were fantastic. The room was clean and beautiful . The balcony overlooking the seaside and mountains was phenomenal. The included breakfast was excellent as we're the dinners. There are incredible hikes nearby - one (about 2-3 kms) through some mountains to an abandoned village and another Along the seashore eastward to a beautiful desolate beach (but go early as more people arrive around 11-12).Highly recommended. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Fortuna. The hotel is family run and you can see how hard they all work to make your stay perfect. Great location in the small cove of Milna. Wonderful food (great quality and big portions!) and fabulous breakfasts. It was a lovely surprise to be picked up from Hvar town and then dropped off in Stari Grad for the return trip back to the mainland without any additional charges. Would 100% return!. All of the hotel had been recently refurbished so was clean and well-fitted out. Staff were lovely, very friendly. Hotel is right on a lovely (shingle) beach with six or so restaurants nearby. Although the hotel is 5k outside Hvar, they provide a taxi service at nominal cost so there was no problem getting into town and back. This should go on the website as distance from Hvar might put some people off and it really was not a problem. Wonderful location on the beach in quiet village of Milna within a very short drive of Hvar. Its a family run business and they bend over backwards to be helpful and make you feel at home. During our stay we were given multiple lifts by the owners to Hvar city, which were totally free of charge. Their restaurant is also both the best quality and by far the best value in Milna. Its a fabulous hotel which we would return to in second. The hotel seaside location is superb! Milna beach is quiet and peaceful place to stay. All 3 rooms we stayed is beautiful design & clean. This hotel is family run and all of them are really nice and so helpful. I decided that our group should has dinner at the hotel and I was right!! Our dinner is really good. I would reccommened my friend to visit here. The family members that own and run the hotel are so friendly and dedicated to the enjoyment of their guests. The location can't be any better. The beach is right out the door, but you can also walk to more secluded areas to swim. The food and wine at the restaurant is wonderful and the service is great. Wonderful hosts, excellent rooms and great food. Milna has a lovely small beach (it's rocky but you can hire sun chairs) and is a good place to stay if you are looking for someplace quiet. If you don't have a car, I overheard you can get a taxi or the hosts will give you a lift into town for a small fee. Hotel Fortuna exceeded our expectations; in fact I'm rarely compelled to write a review. The room was gorgeous - big and comfortable and looked nicer than in the photos. The restaurant was lovely for dinner, looking out to the sea. It was great to have a free pick-up and drop-off from Hvar bus station. Staff were very very welcoming and kind! The room was good and the view on the beach and its turquoise sea is precious! It is not in Hvar city but on the outskirts, it is quieter! The walk along the coast is amazing! If i come to Hvar again, I will go again to that hotel!. The situation of the hotel was fantastic. The family who run it couldn't do enough for us- they even went and bought our ferry tickets for us. All in all it is a fabulous place. We tried all the restaurants in Milna and this was the best. We would highly recommend. What a gem of a find this hotel is, from the moment you arrive the Tutor family make you feel welcome and there level of service is exceptional , rooms were spotless , breakfast and restaurant food were great . Thanks guys see you next time. The hotel is beautifully situated and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The beach is pebbly, so you need to wear something on your feet, but the sea is beautiful to swim in. Food was good and local dishes are available. It was just what we needed. Peace and quiet. Really nice staff. They pick you up in town if you call them. The hotel is not in Hvar it is in a nearby town called Milna, so you have to take a taxi or a bus. Beautiful. The place is lovely , just infront of the sea at Milna Beach, is quite near the city of Hvar, very peaceful, the family who run the business are very friendly and helpfull.The room facing the sea are nice and clean. The location was ideal and the local restaurants provided top quality food. Also, the owner was very hospitable and drove us into Hvar town and other places whenever we requested it. An excellent service all round!. Staff was really friendly and went out our their way to help us out: we got our room before the check in time and were offered lifts to nearby Hvar. The rooms had everythng you could want and the presence of a fridge was a bonus in the heatwave we had!. Not to do with the hotel but the guy who rents the umbrellas and sun loungers is a bit rude and over charges, he seems to have the monopoly...it would be nice if hotel guests did not have to pay for this. The lack of variety of menus generally on the islands in Croatia when staying for a couple of weeks.Not a hotel specific thing. Breakfast was ok, farther from the main town than we realized, should supply beach pads or chairs to guests. Nothing. We loved everything!. Mosquito net on the window would be welcome. Layout of the rooms could be more spacious. Located 5ks from Hvar old town. However staff happy to provide transport at small cost. A little pricey for the offering.
