  The apartment was just perfect! We arrived at 11 in the night and got all the informations from the security guy, who also spoke a little english.. Powerful shower and constant hot water. Token operated laundromat on site.

Can walk to most of the places of interest and spots in town, if one has the aptitude. Almenas is a nice cosy home/hostel, comfortable place to sleep in and a clean complete private bath (have to opt for it though). The staff is professional and courteous. And yes, Wi-fi is available and works very well. Breakfast was simple but sufficient as one would eat at home.

Efficient, friendly and helpful check- - Having Santiago be my first port of call in South America as a stopover, and as a solo female traveller, I was praying it was safe, easy to get to from the airport and the staff spoke reasonable English (for my Spanish is poor).
