This is a fantastic Hotel. Huge modern and fully equipped rooms (full modern kitchenette) One of the best Hotels we have ever stayed at and right in the downtown are of Vancouver. We had to transfer from the Residence Inn by Marriott to the Sheraton Wall Centre on the 3rd day what a let down when we saw our room at the Sheraton and compared it to the beautiful Residence Inn by Marriott. Good location, although not quite downtown Vancouver, but only a 20 minute stroll to Canada Place. $8 taxi ride. The hotel itself is well appointed and felt more 4 star than 3. The rooms are spacious compared to European standards and well equipped, coffee maker kettle, fridge/freezer and dishwasher in the handy kitchenette. Queen beds were very comfortable and maid service excellent.
所有评语 » Staff very helpful. I left my cell phone at an area restaurant. The restaurant was closed when I discovered my loss, and we had to leave very early the next morning for our flight. The hotel staff went to the restaurant, recovered my cell phone, and had it shipped overnight to my home. What amazing service. The hotel was very beautiful, and our room exceeded our expectations. 1. Stylish, modern, and very beautiful interior design; high end materials (i.e. quartz countertops) are used. 2. Large windows - plenty of daylight. 3. Fully equipped kitchen. 4. Comfortable beds. 5. Excellent free breakfast. 6. Great location (walking distance to most points of interest). 7. Reasonable parking fees (for downtown location). The Residence Inn by Marriott Vancouver Downtown is in the ideal location of Vancouver city. It's a few feet from Davie Street, which is one of the main strips of Vancouver which made walking trip enjoyable and worth while. This was a very comfortable hotel!. Spacious, clean rooms, well-lit bathroom, great breakfast buffet. Loved the kitchenette with modern appliance and plenty of kitchenware. Paid parking was good through 7pm the last day of our stay with in and out service. Well-equipped exercise room. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff, lovely clean rooms and facilities, tasteful furnishings, great location to sights and shopping around Vancouver, close proximity to restaurants, good selection for buffet breakfast each morning of stay. Loved the pool and hot tub. Beds were very comfortable and the room was cozy and inviting. Fabulous kitchen with dishwasher would be great for extended stays. Next time we'll get a room with a balcony to take in the awesome outside views. We were attending 4 open houses over the 2-day weekend and we had some issues with parking and getting back and forth. The Front desk staff were very accommodating with our needs and schedules. Lots of restaurants in the area. Clean, comfortable, spacious room with mini-kitchen was perfect for a weekend getaway. Modern facilities, had parking for our big truck, swimming pool and hot tub, breakfast included. Nice and modern room. There is an in-room kitchenette which was nicely integrated into the design of the room. Fairly tentative receptionists and room cleaners.Location is ideal. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was lovely - very well-equipped (loved the modern mini-kitchen and eating bar!) and spacious. Perfect location!. The location was super and the facilities at the hotel perfect for young families. The staff were extremely helpful when asked about services in the area. Upon arrival Front Desk were welcoming and gave handy hints for a better stay. One of the best Marriott's we have stayed in. Breakfast was excellent. Had a great stay with our 2 little kids. Lovely staff, good sized rooms, central location, great breakfast and a Starbucks in the hotel. I thought that ou room was luxurious and lovely. Self contained and has soft closing furniture and toilet. Great amenities as well. Room was excellent with the kitchen setup. Location was great next to the west end and walking distance to the city centre. Lovely friendly hotel in an area convenient for park ,beach, waterfront and shops. Facilities in the room outstanding. Jason and other staff members where very helpful with answering any questions about the area or transportation needs. Comfortable, clean, well run and well equipped kitchen area. Our room was well laid out with a comfortable bed and the balcony had a partial view of the water. The facilities were good, swimming pool, gym and it was nicely laid out, with a spacious feel. There is nothing not to like at the Residence Inn by Marriott. It is the best. No real negatives. Bit building work out the front, but that will look good when it is finished. Too few elevators for the number of hotel guests. The breakfast staff needs to do a better job in replenishing the breakfast meal. The were times in which the guest had to wait quite a while for the eggs, bacon or even clean plates to be brought out from the kitchen. Noise definitely travels through the room doors and I couldn't figure out how to keep the HVAC fan to run continuously to drown out the sound of people entering and leaving adjacent rooms. Continental breakfast was a bit bland and ended very quickly ( 9:30 am) which caused a bit of a seating problem as everyone was trying to get their breakfast before the 9:30 deadline. This was a Sunday so perhaps if the hours were extended to 11:00 on Sundays this would help with seating. Breakfast was a mayhem for both days we stayed at. Ridiculous number of limited seating available. So kids and elderly had to stand around and waited for a long while before we could be properly seated for our breakfast. In addition, there was a Chinese waitress of some sort who kept asking whether we were finished with our breakfast every single 2-3 minutes!! So i'd mark it down for very unimpressive breakfast arrangements. The breakfast times are a little limiting, especially with young children who can take a while to wrangle. Would suggest breakfast on weekdays being extended to meet tourists and not just business travelers. Nothing. Breakfast was manic as there were insufficient numbers of tables for the number of guests. Internet was slow. Nothing. Breakfast could have been extended by half an hour. The photos showed a couch in the room when I booked. There wasn't a couch just one chair. So my son had to sleep in the chair. Not enough seating in the room for 4 people. Nothing to fault. Pool is small. Breakfast only till 9.00 AM on weekdays. Nothing. Complementary breakfast. expensive. There were some rude guests in the room next to me who decided to hold loud conversations outside my room for about a half an hour late at night. Though the city is clean, locals are friendly,and there are all knds of interesting places,and things to do.There is a large homeless population. included buffet breakfast was very average. Breakfast was poor and breakfast staff were inattentive: ran out of coffee twice, slow to clean tables. Bed size. Found a used condom wrapper next to the nightstand when I dropped my glasses. This was quite disgusting. Staff were also just fair - of the 5 I met, none were the happy super happy people described on the forums. Our room smelled like stale cigarettes even though it was supposedly a non-smoking room. The breakfast system was slightly chaotic; very long queues at times and when very busy, nowhere to sit.
